Puzzles OK, binding otherwise
It's been some time since I had the pleasure of a cryptic crossword - Times or Telegraph - so this seemed like a good choice to be re-introduced.It didn't take long to reacquaint myself, but that's not a bad thing. I don't know how a person new to this kind of crossword would fare, but the puzzles seem to me a little on the easy side. The problem I have is with the binding. The pages are glued in, simply, and even before I finished the first puzzle the clues page showed signs of what was to come. Eventually it fell out completely. It's a minor niggle, for I will be using the book at home. If I was commuting or otherwise on the hoof, loose pages would be irksome.I'm going to continue to work through the puzzles, but I don't think I'll be buying another volume of this size. I reduced what could have been five to three stars purely because of the binding... or lack of it.

So hard, they’re good.
Love cryptics. Best ever for me as an American English native speaker were John Lewis in The Nation magazine. He was the Master. The Telegraph puzzles are very hard for me lacking British slang or idioms. But my brain stays much younger because of their verbal abuse. This is my 2nd volume purchased.

Very English. Some of the clues only an English person would understand. I like even more for that!
Very English clues. I Don't go anywhere without it.

Pages fall out
The book's content was as advertised, and arrived on time. However, on starting to use the book, several of the first few pages became detached as the puzzles were being completed.

Need a firm touch
I bought these for my wife as she was finding that on the small screen of her phone she was getting too many miscues. She loves the colours and elegant shape of the styli. The only slight drawback is that she finds that the screen needs a rather vigorous tap with any of these to make them function - not a fault with her smartphone as I have confirmed this on my own phone - my stylus works normally on both. She is still quite happy to use them, so they get at least 4 stars.

Good purchase
Bought this for my father in law, who enjoys his daily crossword. Thought he might enjoy having some more to wrestle with during lockdown, and he absolutely does. Can’t go wrong with this.

My favourite pastime!
Can't be without my DT crossword books. I order the next 2 at a time. Some are very tricky, but what an enjoyable challenge. Essential for relaxing. Love them.

Good, but *******!
It certaInly provides a lot of good cryptic crosswords to challenge you but I am a bit concerned about its size. There could be a chance of it breaking its bindings with use. However only time and use will tell.
