I used to tap the rim of stubborn jars on my kitchen floor to open them, but with the advent of arthritis that no longer worked for me. This jar opener is amazing! Its ingenious design clutches jars of various shapes, and it works on all but the largest jar lids. I've even used it on a syrup jar that I had previously opened but the lid was firmly stuck with dried honey! Storage is an issue, but that's a problem I'll happily deal with given the One Touch Jar Opener functionality.

Works great. Fun to watch. Now I have several open jars that didn’t need to be opened yet!!!! But fun to watch. Battery life is good so far, if you suffer from arthritis this is a great tool. It’s a bit noisy but it adds to the enjoyment of waiting for that satisfying pop!!!

My hands have never been strong enough to open many lids, and I had one tough jar of Tostitos salsa I'd been trying to open for a week, so I finally broke down and ordered this thing. It worked, but surprised me that rather than twisting the lid off, it popped it up and off the jar. And as others have pointed out (including the product description), it won't stop running until it "resets" at its original position, which is a little annoying, and the only reason I took off one star. There is no "off" switch. But that's a small price to pay for not having to struggle to open jars ever again.

Gave as a stocking stuffer and was told something was wrong with it Checked it out and found that the battery compartment would not shut properly so it didn't work When I looked at it the molded clip was not on one side. Was not broken off it was molded without the clip on one side Wonder how many others were molded like this

This is one of my favorite gadgets. I have rheumatoid arthritis really bad in my hands so it’s almost impossible to open anything. This makes open in jars so easy if you have trouble opening things or you just like things, easiest could be this is it
