First time using GEEETECH Filament - Great price
I recently tried the GEEETECH PLA Filament in white, and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed. The 1.75mm size fit perfectly with my 3D printer, and I didn't run into any issues during setup. When printing, the filament flowed smoothly and evenly, which made for some good-quality prints. I noticed that the details came out sharp—no blobs or stringing, just clean lines. The white color is bright and has a nice finish once it’s printed, which I really appreciated. One of the things I love about working with PLA is how easy it is to work with, and this GEEETECH filament was no exception. It adhered well to my print bed and didn’t warp, even on larger pieces. Cleanup was also a breeze, which is always a bonus for me. Overall, I find GEEETECH's PLA filament to be a solid choice for anyone looking for reliable white filament. I definitely plan to use it again in my future projects!

Top quality PLA at an extremely good price!
When purchasing PLA filament for use in a 3D printer there are a wide number of manufacturers offering product and selecting the right one makes a significant difference to the quality of your prints. This Geeetech white PLA has proved to be an excellent choice right from the outset. From the moment the reel is removed from the cardboard box it is clear that the vacuum packaging used to stop the build-up of moisture on the filament is very well done - many people not realising that a little damp on the surface of filament can make it a nightmare to print with. For reference, the prints I have run are run on a heavily modified Creality CR-10S actually using MKS Gen L board and TMC2130 stepper motors. I have included images of the first three prints I did using the filament. The first print I did, as I usually do with a new type of filament, was to print a Benchy. This print completed with absolutely no flaws at all. The detail on the print is all crisp with nice edges and absolutely no stringing at all. The white PLA has a nice satin type texture - slightly but not overly shiny - and unlike some white PLA the colour is a nice clean white and not at all milky. The second print was a bracket to allow a pair of headphones to be hung on a well. I attempted to show in this photo just how silky and smooth this PLA is - but it is quite hard to capture in a photograph. It really is a lovely finish though. It is also very important to note that the filament in wound onto the reel in a very consistent manner. Why is this important? I have found with some reels of filament where the winding is less uniform and consistent can cause tangles resulting in failed prints. The third print was a white “vase”. I have attempted this print several times using other makes of PLA and each time the print has failed somewhere with areas of the print collapsing. I was expecting this to show similar issues and was most impressed when in fact the vase printed without any flaws. Again, as I have attempted to show in the last photograph, the detail is all extremely crisp with no stringing at all. Finally we checked a number of lengths of the filament with a micrometer testing the diameter of the filament and how constant it’s circular cross section was. We found the production of this filament to be very accurate and consistent. All in all this the best PLA filament I have seen so far, and for that reason we’ll be making Geeetech PLA our standard choice from now on! Highly recommended. A quality product, well made and very well priced!

Prints nicely. Brittle MDF finish. Smells good. Recommended
This wood filament printed without problems using a 0.4mm brass nozzle on a V5 hotend. EDIT: Do not overheat the extruder past normal PLA temperatures! The wood particles will burn, further over heating the hotend, clogging your nozzles, and damaging the end of your bowden tube. My printer automatically heats the extruder to 240 if you wish to extrude filament and I learnt the above the hard way. :-( Temperature of 200c produced some stringing, so careful calibration of your retraction settings will be required if you wish to print complex items at higher temperatures. Performance on overhangs was not as good as I usually get either. Start with 190c. and lower your print speed. Take care when threading the filament through your extruder/hotend because the wood filament is weaker and more brittle than normal PLA. Once installed it printed without any problems. Stuck a bit too well to my print bed at 60c so I recommend heated bed of no more than 50c The finish is like a hard mdf, and probably a similar strength . so not very strong. As this is likely to be used for decorative items this should not be a problem. Don't expect to use it for tools or coat hooks. Sanding and clean up of prints is easier than usual, with the printed PLA wood behaving similar to MDF / HDF. Shade variation is possible as the very top of my test print was darker on the final small layers (probably due to less time for previous layer to cool). Changing shade during print should be possible, but you will need to get inventive with fan, layer cooling, and temp settings in your slicer. I will most likely use a paintbrush. Quote from the US GEEETECH website is spot on for this product: "The wood filament prints easily and smoothly, similar to PLA, and give off a smell of wood when printing. The printed objects look very much like a wood carving work, which will appear rough and similar to MDF, Medium Density Fiberboard but it can be easily sanded. .... Possible extrusion temperature is better to be with a good starting point at 190°C. Hotter temperatures will extrude a darker filament; using variable temperatures during a print. Suggested setting: Layer height: 0.25 mm Default extrusion with: 60~ 80 mm Speed for non-moves: 40~60 mm Temperature of extruder: 190°C~230°C " My first print is the pictured Baby Groot 110mm high Anycubic i3 mega printer 200c/60c (I recommend lower temperature) 0.4mm nozzle 0.2mm layers print speed 50mm/s outer shell speed 30mm/s no supports, no raft, no brim In Summary: Prints nicely. Much weaker than normal PLA. Brittle MDF finish. Use low temperatures and slow speeds Smells sweet and woody when printing I will buy this product again and can recommend it to others

This filament is so much fun. Created a ton of Halloween decorations with it for the black light. Glow is bright. Printing with it was easy.

No pierdo tiempo eliminando hilos. Genial.
