A little loose
I bought this for macro photography to mount on a focus rail. There was some play in it that caused the camera to move slightly when focusing. I dis-assembled it and used Loctite Red on the screws and JB Weld on the pins. It's rock-solid now and very acceptable for my use.

Good but has annoying wobble
A good product in principle but the top plate wobbles. Easily fixed by a couple of blobs of araldite (or similar). However, a product described as and intended to be a support for a camera should be rigid not wobbly. The manufacturer really must fix this. In addition, it would be useful if the base plate were compatible with Arca-Swiss mounts as well as 1/4" screw.

Nicely made
Very helpful for vertical adjustment of camera (or subject) in a close-up/macro setup. Very sturdy, nicely made. One full turn of the large adjusting nut = 1.4mm, so it's very easy to make adjustments down to 0.1mm, even less. Mounting a focusing slide on top would provide X and Z positioning; mounting an X-Y focusing slide would provide positioning along all three axis.
