Too heavy

I bought 3 of these. None came with instructions or any printed material at all. I hope I can figure out how to use them. It is not obvious. In particular, I don’t see how to adjust its spring for the weight of the installed light.

While this Pantograph is intended for studio lights only, my plan is to affix a hinged ring light and tripod for either a phone or lightweight camera like a GoPro for overhead shots. After receiving it, I realize it is certainly up to the task. It is heavier than expected, so plan to install into a stud/floorboard/truss or, as I'm doing, put it on a DIY rail system. I love that it can be easily raised or lowered without stopping the shoot and adjusting several tripod legs. At this price point, it is a good piece of equipment for a small photographer, videographer, or vlogger who is looking to up their game.
