The packaging of the product was very good .it was from the latest batch , April 2025,. there was no dent no damage to both odu and idu. The cooling is awesome.it is working silently. There was a slight hiccup with installation which was resolved by customer care in a jiffy. The voltas service centre is some two kilometres from our house they came immediately and installed it.the charge was 1500rs and for stand ,825including installing it. The already existing stand was some what rusted so it was i who insisted in changing it .Every thing was good 👍. It is absolute value for money as i got in festival discount. Now what I am going to write has nothing to do with Amazon not the sevice centre .the chief technician some how convinced me with this and that and took away my old voltas 1.5ton ac which was in workable condition for 2.5thousand. But of course the installation was very good. Performance of ac is good I bought voltas because the old ac which i had was also voltas and the service centre would attend a complaint on the same day.

So i after reading all the reviews, i was a bit skeptical about the installation process, as most people had bad experiences. I still opted for company installation, as I was not sure whether the warranty would get void if i get third party installation. So here is my experience:- The AC was delivered on time, and i received a msg after the delivery that the VOLTAS will br contacted by amazon shortly to request for installation. Thereafter, the VOLTAS company installation persons also came the very next day. All good till here. Now here is where it gets interesting. The installation costs 1500, but one will at least be spending near 2500. This is because volatas will seperately charge for a wire to connect to outdoor unit, which will be Rs. 150 per meter (Total wire used for me was 4meters, therefore Rs. 600), and a drainage pipe for around Rs. 300. The Voltas personell was trying to sell another wire to connect the plug point, for which he was seeking to charge another 600 bucks. This i refused, and insisted the the existing wire may be used, whcih works perfectly btw. I already had a stand for the outdoor unit so didnt have to spend more on that. Most people will probably have to though. It may be relevant to note that the above prices are specific to when you order from Amazon. I had enquired from a local shop, which said company installation would be around 700 bucks.(however one may end up payong more for transportation, as delivery is free in amazon). But the voltas guys said that the 700 scheme is not applicable when ordering online. On the quality of the installation, i would say it is decent. Apart from my room being in a mess, the installation was ok. When we turned the AC on, it worked fine initially. However after sometime the display showed "E6" which is an error message. I called the voltas person back to check. He came and fixed it (which was just some wiring issue), and assured me that if theres any other problem, i can call him and he will come to fix. I guess this is where i feel that getting company installation prooved fruitful, as otherwise im not sure whether the company would have taken responsibility. Apart from the above, the AC works just fine. All features work as advertised. Cooling is great. Can't complain about the product. Hope this helps you decide. Cheers.

Good product

I bought this AC with a belief that it is a TATA brand and expected a great product. Within 1 week of installation, the AC wasn’t working well and started to give out hissing sound when it was turned on. On surfing the internet, I was shocked to see the issue was due to refrigerant leak. Shocked to see such a health hazard to which me and family including my 3 year old kid was exposed to. All I can relate to is a faulty installation at first place. Then the usual process started. Submitted a complaint and got a response that it will be rectified in 24-72hrs. Even after 72hrs, there is no response. Once again, I contacted the customer care and they provided me with the manager of authorized service center for Voltas. He never picks the calls nor he was able to send me the technician to look into my AC. And at last he said he will send a technician first thing in the morning and I began to wait. No one turned up. As I was traveling the next day, I was literally pleading and begging to have a technician. But it fell on deaf ears only. I had to cancel my travel, only to wait for no response again. Again it started to same cycle of calling the manager of the service center who said he will send the technician first thing in the Sunday morning. Had to wait the whole day to see no one bothered to service my AC. Such a pathetic customer service and I don’t understand why a brand like Voltas have given authorizations to do service to some third rated guys as Urban company guys are way better than these. When am posting this, it has been around 6 days since my initial complaint and even escalating to Voltas customer care, they don’t seem to bother. I never expected this kind of attitude from a reputed brand like TATA Group.
