Now my pipe is a super model
I got this to check out the inner workings of my gutter drains. This was less expensive to own than having the septic company come out once with their camera. The set up comes well protected in a plain cardboard box. Foam pads protect the screen. I charged it for a few hours. The charger plug is an old school like 2008 small usb. The camera cord gets in the way of opening for the plug, nothing crazy, but could have been a better design.Directions are straight up bird cage liner. There is zero inside them about how to actually use the camera. The camera is in the metal flip top box on the frame. Screw it on the nub on the end of the yellow cable. Turn the unit on with the switch below the screen, not the “power” button below the screen. My power button sticks.Once you get the camera on it has a decent field of view and the pictures/video are pretty good, certainly for the price. You get them off the micro SD card in the unit. Be patient putting the card back in, it isn’t all that excited to go back in the device.I’d get this again, for the price it is a great device. I took a point off for the absolutely terrible directions or lack of.

Works like the big, professional ones I’ve seen on the job site.
I’m a Realtor and frequently on a home inspection, there will be a question about the condition of Heat/AC ducts that are in the slab. It is not uncommon to see ducts that are rusted all the way through and fill sand is leaking in. When it’s in question, I bring in a professional that does duct lining with a spray in product. He brings a big rolling camera setup that makes it easy to see the condition of the ducts. Unfortunately, that contractor is in another city and can take time to get him scheduled. So I wanted this camera to at least be able to get a cursory look before we schedule him in.His camera is my point of reference. This camera costs maybe 1/10 what his professional one does so let’s see how they compare. The professional camera is much bigger. It’s a rolling cart about 3’ tall. This camera is much more compact. It stands about 15” tall and about 11” wide. It was smaller than I expected it to be. The design is surprisingly similar to the professional one. Both have the rolling circular cage that the cable is wound into. And in my experience this machine extends and retracts with no fuss or problems. Both cameras have a weighted head with a flexible wire wrap that allows them to bend around corners. The professional machine does have a rotating joint at the camera and a weighted head so the camera image is always upright. This machine does not have that feature. It would be super cool if it did but honestly if there is anything in the duct/pipe, it will be obvious which way is down and if there is nothing to see, it doesn’t matter. The LED lighting on this camera is more than adequate. You get plenty of light. The screen on this camera is quite simple to operate. When you turn it on, it’s in movie mode and ready to record. You have the options of recording a video or taking pictures. Both are stored on a micro SD card that is included. The cable on this camera is quite rigid and makes moving the camera through the pipe easy. I did not experience any problems getting the camera to advance smoothly. The camera comes with 2 different adapters that make the camera head larger to fit a particular diameter pipe. The smaller one is just a plastic bushing with beveled edges. The larger one is a plastic bushing with 5 wheels in a star pattern. That is the one I used to traverse HVAC ducts. Even though it is much smaller than the pipe I’m using it in, it travels well and does a good job keeping the camera looking down the middle of the pipe.I’ve owned other borescope/inspection cameras, some of them with quite long cables but the problem with all of them has been the cable. They are generally not rigid enough to be able to get where you need to go. This one does not have that problem. This camera really performs quite well and more than adequate for my needs. With the exception of the the rotating head that keeps the image right side up all the time, I seriously doubt you could tell the difference between a video going down the pipe that I record with this one compared to the professional machine I was talking about in the beginning. I’ve seen both and really there is no difference. This camera represents a tremendous value in my opinion.

Durability is not good
Camera worked really well for about 45 min then camera probe LED lights stopped working. Couldn’t be used in dark areas after that. Also retracting the fiber cable back onto the reel was very difficult.

Missing parts. Not good
Came without a lens in the camera. For $280 I expect better. Buyer beware

Worked well for inspecting a septic system.
This worked amazing for inspecting the inside of a septic system. The camera is easy to work with and the image is great. There's a light on the camera that lets you can adjust the brightness as you're working with it, and I found this extremely helpful. On other projects, I've used smaller borescopes that have just a light on/off feature and it can make working up close in some areas or on white PVC pipes the light can be too bright, so reflects back so much light it can be difficult to see. So having an adjustable light on this scope is great.Overall I'm impressed with how well it works, the build quality and how clear the image is on the screen. No complaints!

Missing ports
This would probably be a good item but I was never able to test it as the lens and power cord were missing. This makes it impossible to use.

Great
I wish I woulda had this years ago, it would’ve saved me so much time and aggravation. It was easy to setup and use. The picture quality was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I’ve used the handheld versions before and I expected the same quality from this but I was surprised at how much better it was. It is long enough for any job I would need at my house as well as most other houses. It’s easy to move around to and around the work site. The led lights are very bright. I’m very happy with this product and I would highly recommend
