Moderately priced.
This is pretty good wire to use for various heating projects. I used it to build dew prevention heaters for my telescopes.

Works well for heating element replacement...
I had a broken electric fondue pot, where the element was broken. So I took some of this wire, wrapped it around a pencil and replaced the entire element. Took about 1hr to repair, but it was well worth the time, since electric fondue pots have not been made since the 70's, and going to the Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant is very pricey, this was well worth it.

Great for under cabinet ice maker cutting grids, just get the correct resistance
I bought this wire, as others buyers, to rewire the cutting grid on my under-cabinet ice maker. To ensure I bought the correct gauge wire, rather than just comparing the thickness of the wire to the original grid as others have done I measured the resistance of approximately one foot of the original cutting wire, which came to about 1.6 ohms. This matches the resistance for the 24 gauge nichrome wire. This is significantly more affordable than replacing either the entire cutting grid assembly for $150-$200 or buying an oem wire kit for around $40 that is only long enough to wire one side of the grid. With the grid rewired it appears to be cutting ice at the same rate as the original grid wires.

Good purchase.
This nichrome wire works the way it should. I'm just not sure what flavor has to do with its operation.

Great Product, but won't comment on its "Flavor" in the review section.
I have plans to make a fountain for the yard. It's based on large blocks of styrofoam that I'll cut and cover with dyed concrete. I had to make a cutter large enough to cut the foam blocks that are over 2 foot wide. This wire, some plywood, a wall switch, and an old laptop charger made it happen. The wire is excellent. It's been durable, and cuts like butter. This roll will certainly be a lifetime supply for me.

For foam cutter, you will need 12v 5amp power supply.
Works really well. I tried to make a foam cutter and started with 5v 1a, it barely was warm. With 5v 2a, it got somewhat warm. With 12v 2a, it was hot, but not hot enough to cut foam. With 12v 5a, it did the job and melted the foam. Please make sure that that your foam cutter has tension on the wire as the wire expands when heated. The wire length I used for making the cutter was about a foot long.

Works
Like that it's actually the stated diameter. I used it to replace the hair thin wire on my hot wire table.Just remember that the thicker/bigger the wire, the more current you will use due to the change in the resistance change. Will buy again.
