Is the opening on the 44oz and 64oz the same size?

Yes, just a bit over 3.5 inches on each size. Both have been great to have, the smaller one is nice for travel or to have on the second story of a home.

Does it help drooling water? My bully pit leaves trails around the house after drinking from her bowl....

That's the exact reason I got it and it works great! I had a gravity waterer but my 63lb. Staffordshire Bull Terrier left trails of water all over. She has to put her muzzle into this, so splashing doesn't happen and her jowls don't drip water all over. I still keep her bowls on a 2' x 3' kitchen pad just in case. I recommend this for any Pit Bull breed.

I am looking for a dog water bowl that I can add ice cubes to, to keep the water colder longer. I wish Igloo would offer a product like this

This works great for that my dog loves ice cubes for longest lasting take the bowl apart and put a bunch in before adding water
