It seems to be a nice high quality pointer that should last a long time and is easy to charge. The old battery style were always a pain and very seldom lasted more than a few months plus the expense of the batteries. Now I think most of those problems will be a thing of the past. One word of caution is using for a cat lazer chase toy is, I feel way to bright and could cause harm but with the refractory lens on it, it makes it more functional for my cat. It is just he does not know which light to chase but he tries. I feel it is worth the money if you have it for multifunctions and not just a pet toy. The single beam was way too bright for me to look at for more than a split second or two and I can imagine what a cat sees so becareful.

I use them to point out birds in the trees. It is not the brightest.

I like the added stars and more, but all I really need was something for the cat. Perfect!!!

This is a ~110mW (class 3B) laser marked as a <5mw laser (technically would be class 3R but marked as class 2). This is very dangerous and can cause INSTANTANEOUS PERMANENT EYE DAMAGE if directed into a person's or pet's eyes (or from a stray reflection!), even looking at the laser dot for prolonged periods can cause eye strain.Please do not buy this to play with your cat or dog, please do not use this for office presentations. It is not a toy. It has no way of disabling itself and does not come with a safety cap. Putting a piece of black tape over the diffraction cap it comes with kind of works, and keeping the plastic ring it comes with over the button can prevent accidental activation, but there's no off switch or child-proof lock. Keep this in mind if you have children or live with irresponsible people.

It is just a pointer - I don't need it to connect to a device so this was perfect.

This was not as durable as I had hoped. It broke very quickly with minimal use, no drops, etc. It was bright though! I don't think the value for money is worth it. It was functional while it worked, but only lasted a short time. I'm sad because it did have a good distance that it would shine!
