As others have mentioned, it is smaller than I expected - even though I knew that before buying. Still, it's perfect for our current needs, especially as I'm the only one of the 2 of us who is likely to actually eat the final end product, lol. I am new to yogurt making and only make small batches so far. Outcome, after 24 hours: 2 cups of unstrained whole milk yogurt made 1 cup of liquid whey and 1 cup of strained yogurt. "Your mileage may vary . . ." My process: After a new batch of whole milk yogurt had finished fermenting and was refrigerated overnight, I put 2 cups of it into the strainer and put that back in the fridge. After 24 hours, you can see the results. It is so good, really creamy!! It is not as thick or dense as store bought Greek yogurt, and is very similar to the consistency of sour cream. That may be in part depending on what the starting yogurt is like. I used a small spatula to take the strained yogurt out and there was minimal loss of yogurt to the container/mesh. Clean up was easy with hot soapy water (hand washed). I did that right away to avoid having to deal with dried bits that would likely be more stubborn. I actually like this much better than store bought Greek yogurt. Depending on how much I eat per week, I may end up getting a second one. I have one of those big round ones that often gets suggested when you search. It works very well but is way too big for the amount of yogurt we make/eat, and this little gadget fits our needs well. Seller shipped it quickly. It came in a box and had no damage during shipping. Would buy from this seller again.

You can leave your yogurt in the strainer until it is thick as you want. For me 2 hours is plenty. Then it is like sour cream. After 24 hrs it is like cream cheese or peanut butter. As others have said here it is smaller than you might guess, but I do a liter of yogurt in 2 batches, and it is fine. Very high quality acrylic, and super easy to clean.

Worked fine, bur the regular yogurt is mostly watered whey and not cost effective to strain on your own

I bought this to use with my Ultimate yogurt maker. My first few batches I was getting too much whey. I didn't like the way my cooking strainer worked. This one is absolute perfection. It strains the yogurt so nicely. When I bought it I assumed I would return it, but it turned out to be my favorite gadget. The small nylon mesh strains the yogurt so nicely and the unit itself is the most perfect size. No batteries or electricity needed. LOVE THIS!

I was really excited to try this Greek yogurt strainer because we make yogurt often and love thick, creamy results—but unfortunately, this just didn’t meet expectations. The size is surprisingly small. I was only able to strain a very small portion at a time, which makes it pretty impractical for anyone who wants to make more than a single serving. The quality of the materials seemed fine, and I think it could work for someone who only occasionally strains a few spoonfuls at a time, maybe for kids or small snacks. But for our family, it just wasn’t going to cut it. I ended up returning it because it didn’t fit our needs. If they made a larger version, I’d be willing to give it another try. It doesnt leak, Its easy enoug. I dont like the design but its fine for its price i guess. Cleaning was a bit annoying.

Very very very satisfied with the product. Does what it promises. Good quality. Using it quite often now. Earlier making hung curd was a task but this has really solved the problem . Good study plastic. Easy to clean. Easy to use.
