Worked better than I was expecting
I purchased this to cover the caulking job above the backsplash on the new badly fitting countertops from Home Depot. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to cover or stick well. It was single digits outside so I heated it up a little with a hair dryer after heating up the wall a little. That made it very sticky, almost too sticky. Didn't get it on perfectly straight but it did the job and looks a lot better. I think heating it up might have been the key. Only been 2 days but it's sticking well.

Easy to install - finishes the edges
InstaTrim is so easy to use and provides a nice finished look to the edges.Clearly, this is not a pro remodel, but i started out thinking I would just be repairing a toilet and wound up pulling it out completely, so while I had it out…A quick new peel and stick tile refresh to make cleanup easier, and this great trim product to finish the edges. I thought the tool was included, but that was my error. I installed this in the evening after working on a fence all day, so my patience and care was ebbing but this product is forgiving enough to overcome most of my haste.I actually used a wooden spoon to press the trim into the corners and ran the edge of the spoon down the seam one additional time to seal it to the wall. Now I know they sell actual corner pieces, I may get those to finish off the trim along the cabinet edges.I’m looking at more for baseboard cleanup but I need to remove any existing material. The instructions are very clear - this will NOT adhere to silicone and I don’t know what’s lurking there yet.

Not 100% stuck!
I need this trim for a backsplash install to hide the gap between the counter and the backsplash. It makes and looks nice, but a few end pieces do not stay stuck down. I'll have to use some additional glue to get them to stay. And yes, I cleaned the area thoroughly before applying and it still isn't staying. I would purchase again but know that you may have to use additional glue.

Works in some areas
Used this around backsplash in kitchen. Works well everywhere except under the cabinets where tile meets. Cleaned and prepped per instructions but still falls off after a day. Left a white sticky mess on my tile. Will not buy again.

Looks great when installed - but gets worse every month!
I’ve never been a fan of messy caulk jobs - esp when at least one of the surfaces is really nice tile or stone. So after reading a story about this product & the Twin Cities company that makes it, I ordered several rolls right away. It has now been less than 1 year since I installed it. Got a ton of compliments early on & several folks even asked where I bought it. I have a strong construction background so I made sure to read the directions closely in order to determine how to prepare the surfaces & much pressure to apply when “sticking” the caulk backer into the gap between the 2 surfaces. I also knew that if I stretched it too much when applying pressure the joints would most likely separate. So I didn’t stretch the product at all. The joints around the 3 sides of my corner whirlpool & vanity sink top that meet the mosaic stone backsplashes looked awesome! But even though our basement is climate controlled - in-floor radiant heat, dehumidifier, humidifier & air quality monitor too - this product looks like crap just 9-10 months later. All the corner joints have pulled apart & there are several spots where it is pulling away from the backsplashes. And where I used it to fill a gap between a painted beam & a painted tongue & groove ceiling, it’s falling off - even though I’ve reapplied pressure several times after seeing it coming loose. So it was a complete waste of money & now I have to remove it & clean the surfaces all over again so I can use a good silicone sanded caulk that matches the grout I used for the mosaic stone. Which is exactly what I wanted to avoid & why I bought this product! What a major disappointment!

Flexible, easy to cut, fits well.
This worked great for our countertop! The light brown is a good color to coordinate with our countertop stone. We don’t have a backsplash, so this was a good way to create a seal between the wall and countertop. Was very easy to apply after scraping out old caulk. It’s been about 2 weeks since we applied it and it is sticking well and holding its shape- even with strong sunlight that comes in through the windows. I like that it’s more permanent than caulking (which needs replacing regularly) and much more convenient than what we tried before - cutting wood trim pieces to apply with tiny nails. This is good stuff! Wish I had found it earlier.

Easy to apply.
Price was great and product went on easy. Cut the corners like you would wood trim with a beval. Time will tell of it lasts but the product seems like good quality and looks nice. Take your time when installing.

Not worth the trouble.
I really liked this at first, but it didn't last. Whatever the white adhesive is that they use on the back- it NEVER dries, so the stuff pops off the wall eventually. I went back and used silicone to give it a more permanent bond, but soon realized that the rubber trim really doesn't look that good for all the hassle I have to go through to keep it in place. The allure of this product was that it was easy and cheap. Now that I have to invest more time and money to get it right, I don't like it for what it's worth. Looks too cheap to be that much of a pain. Also, because the adhesive is so bright white, you have to cut the strip in creative ways to hide it from showing. More hassle. If it worked as intended, I would be happy.

Easy to use and looks nice
Was easy enough to install, I was thankful that someone else had commented to use a blow dryer when installing. Once I got it in place, I heated it well in small sections with a blow dryer. You can manipulate it better that way, press hard to get it to stick well and the since the glue has heated up it sticks better. I had enough left over to do around the bottom of my tub. It is not easy to do the corners, you need to cut it on an angle and fit it. Luckily my corners are hidden because I wasn’t happy with how they turned out. I have used caulking before, and I’m not good at making it neat. This is a nice alternative, looks nice and clean.

Not as good as silicon
Does what is says, can be tricky to apply so it adheres well to both surfaces for a good seal, replaced this on my shower with silicone, do use in other less vital areas

provides a nice seam / appearance over gaps, but not the most easy to use or stick down product
I wasn't sure when I got this product if it was going to be a "shopping channel gimmick" or truly provide the solution I needed for cracks / gaps between my new vinyl floor panels and the walls. Still not totally sure it does the detailed job that a professional cut trim would do - but so far it looks ok and makes the edges look neater and tidier.First off, we did have to use caulking as the floor panels would shift and move around without something strong to adhere them to the wall.Plus the InstaTrim does not appear to be watertight at all. There is a gap along below edge lines as there is no adhesive on the edges. I wouldn't use this as a sealant for any shower / washing area as water is sure to flow underneath and cause mold or damage below. The adhesive is just a "sticky tack" / blue tack kind of material which is not very strong. We ended up using super glue along the whole trim to keep it down and from bending inwards and coming off from the wall. Also, inside corners were easier to do than outside ones, but you we were able after trying other methods to do a proper corner (first attempt involved making a triangle insert).Time will tell if this truly last with mopping / cleaning of the floor and joints or if it peels off quickly and is not worth it.
