Viakal Classic Limescale Remover Liquid, 500 ml

I love the Viacal liquid ... it is very easy to use ... just gently dribble the liquid onto areas with limescale and leave it for a few minutes to do its work. Alternatively you can dribble the liquid onto a smal sponge and wipe it onto the areas you want to clean. For me ... I find the liquid version better than a spray because you can direct the liquid to where you want it and not have a lot of spray on areas which which don't need it. That said ... I am sure that a spray version has advantages in other situations ... so take your pick ! If the limescale is persistent then you might need to give it more than one go .... but it will all come off with a little perseverance. Around the base of our chrome taps is always a problem area where limescale can collect but Viacal removes it easily. It makes a fab job of our chrome kettle as well ... a sparkling result for little effort. Viacal does have quite a strong smell which I happen to love ... it says 'Clean' to me ! Do take care to read the manufacturers instructions regarding what materials and finishes Viacal should not be used on. I was very pleased to be able to get Viacal from Amazon because I have found it to be out of stock when I place my supermarket order/s so maybe it's not part of the general online range. My order arrived very promptly and was well packed and in perfect condition. Happy cleaning !

I prefer this gel like liquid Viakal to the spray on variety. It is easier to apply to exact areas and works incredibly well. Also you don't get the airborne droplets like with the spray. It just smells nice but doesn't get 'down your throat'. I have a black 'stone' sink and it does suffer from limescale deposits, in our hard water area. This Viakal gets rid of it all in one application.

Very good value considering supermarket prices. A good all round cleaner, used on stainless steel, tiles and toilet,with good results. Leave it on longer for limescale that has been there for a long time. I like the fact that it doesn't have the overpowering smell of bleach. Would like the liquid to be slightly thicker or have a different nozzle as it is too thin for directional cleaning.

Fantastic stuff! I had tried all known supermarket brands of descaler, coca cola, baking powder and numerous other weird and wonderful suggestions all to no avail. This stuff really works. For best results, first flush toilet ie clean water, then using a small cup scoop out as much water as you can. You can probably end up with no more than half an inch of water in the U-bend. Fill the U-bend with the whole contents of the bottle and leave undisturbed over night. In the morning your toilet will be sparkling.

I use VIAKAL in the kitchen and bathroom on all the stainless and glass surfaces that get splashed with water. There is 2 kinds the spray is for general use, I spray the shower doors, leave it for around 5 mins then rinse and dry once a month to keep lime scale at bay. The other kind which is this squeeze bottle is more hard core, I use it on taps and shower heads. The taps I clean once a month with this by wrapping tissue around the nozzle of the tap and squeezing enough of the VIAKAL on it to soak it. I leave it for around a half hour then wash off and buff with a soft cloth for a perfect shine. With the shower head I take it off put it in a saucer and squeeze enough VIAKAL in it so it starts to fizz, again leave for half hour keep checking it's still got some on it and move it around now and then. After half hour I wash off and buff with soft cloth. Out shower is nearly 10 years old and it looks as good as the day it was put in. I would recommend wearing rubber gloves as it is very strong.

It's Viakal, what's not to like, does the job and does it well.

Ordered to remove lime scale from my toilet, used quarter of the bottle, left for 30mins and didn't work so put the rest of the bottle in. Left for 3 hours and washed off. Removed about 25% of the limescale. Perhaps I need a more heavy duty limescale remover. Would not recommend to use on toilet limescale.
