Excellent & Great FREE Tapo app
Excellent & Great FREE Tapo appGreat quality camera and picture and instant response.note: this model is BOTH wifi and ethernet (defaults to ethernet when present for the best connectivity)Easy to set up via the TAPO app - which has many options for levels of trigger, exclusion zones and types too.-bought the 'amazon basic' micro sd 128GB card to fit inside for memory- the APP works very well and is also very quick with notifications.WOULD highly recommend this TAPO camera

Great, just work.
Fairly easy to setup.Be warned though, you cannot use these for PoE and oddly the power supply is 9v.Bracket is easy to fix to wall.Be careful that you don't loose the DC seals as they come in a little bag, with weirdly 1 spare cover screw. Each cover takes 2 and there are 2 cameras in the box.Video is clear, not usually much lag, but that will depend on your network, and if you use the wired or wireless link.Had 1 for 2 plus years, used indoors and hasn't skipped a beat. Now trying these outdoors, and time will tell.It would be useful if Tapo and others, could have a temperature overlay option, that would be very useful. The InfraRed at night does a good job. You may be best to mount 8-10 feet up, and allow a good distance as the field of view is a bit narrow, compared to the other cameras I use.The app is good, but recently when viewing multiple cameras, there is either a 2 or 5 minute "you have been viewing for " that comes up and is extremely annoying. If Tapo could sort that, then I would be most pleased!Overall, I would recommend Tapo cameras.Th

Fantastic clear picture
A great security camera that is a doddle to set up and when paired with the app allows tons of options to configure the camera to your needs. It's solidly made and very robust, I attached mine to my house using a "no nails glue" which holds it securely. The image quality is great and it is very easy to pick out fine details in video and stills, the night time images are in IR but they are still clear and bright. The cameras are mains powered so you will need to think about positioning the camera near to a power source, the only down side to me is the power lead has a data connection which I don't use and it is in the way so I sealed it in insulation tape to waterproof it from the elements. All in a great security camera camera, even better if you can get it in the sales.

Two pack external Tapo cctv cameras installation
The above cameras are easy to install and connect via WiFi but I would recommend to buy a waterproof box to house the unused Ethernet connection lead which together with the power lead is not long enough to go through the external wall which I found out after drilling a hole which I thought would be big enough to accommodate the cablesI decided to put the cables in a waterproof box which is available from either screw fix or B&Q at £3.99 so this will save you drilling a large hole through the wall you will only require the power lead to go through the wall which requires a smaller holeI found when connecting the cameras to Wi-Fi that I had to turn off the power to the router then back on again for the router to pick up the cameras but after doing that they were fineThe cameras can be very sensitive but this can be adjusted I found the outside boiler vent and rain was activating the camera but you can set an activation zone which with a bit of luck should eliminate this also you can set a privacy zone which will deactivate the camera if required in adverse weather conditionsOverall happy with the Tapo cameras quality and functionality

Great value and cameras do a great job.
Excellent value and compact. Cameras provide clear footage both day and night. Easy to set up and download clips to a phone when necessary. Facility for 24 hour recording and alerts. We have a number of these now giving coverage on all sides of the house.

Camtastic!
Great pair of cameras for outdoor surveillance. Have the option to run ethernet cable too, however don't know if it's PoE. Pretty good Wi-Fi range and really clear picture with A.I. for movement etc. Simple and functional app on phones etc.

Excellent image quality, Easy to instal and set up.
Over the years I have spent a considerable amount of time and money on CCTV systems to protect my property. From cameras that are of a supposedly excellent quality in day and night recording, to expensive DVR's with 1TB hard drives. No matter what system I adopted and fitted I was never truly satisfied with the quality of the images and recordings. Then I discovered these TAPO cameras, what a game changer...the image quality both day and night are superb. So easy to set up and use and all with WIFI connectivity, simply put a micro SD card in the camera, pair it with your WIFI and off you go. As with wired CCTV systems you obviously need power to the cameras on order for them to work.In my case I simply used the 12v power supply used in my original wired CCTV system and simply plugged the TAPO cameras in.....same voltage, same OHM rating same Wattage etc, couldn't have been easier.Cannot report yet as to the longevity of the cameras as they are newly fitted (March 2025) but I will report it in the future should I have any issues (and if I don't !!!)
