Torch T2 Bike Helmet With Integrated Lights

In the end I am very pleased with this product but I sent back the first one because the light batteries would not charge up. I had plugged it in over night, the red lights came on, but the lights would not work. The replacement came super quick (like a day) and those lights would not charge up either. So in desparation I looked on the products' own website, in the FAQ, and discovered that when the batteries are completely discharged the battery "goes to sleep" and needs "waking up" by following some simple instructions.This is what the FAQ said for when a new helmet will not charge."When the batteries reach a critical low charge the protective circuit will put them in a safe mode. There is a simple process to revive the batteries and we’ve made a quick video demonstrating the procedure."There is even a video to show you how to revive the batteries. [...] Easy fix, so why not put those simple instructions in the box with the helmet. Thank goodness for the internet!!!

This a wonderfully bright lid. There is no-one who is going to miss you if you're wearing this. However there are a couple of negative points. It would be handy if the cable was a standard USB connector rather than a custom cable. Just because these things do tend to get mislaid. Also it's a bit fragile. I dropped mine approximately three inches onto wood and it broke the light cover which makes the switch terribly difficult to use. I know you're not supposed to drop these things but I would have thought that it would be a bit tougher. It's not as if it's the cheapest item in the world.

How unhappy can you be with a product?!Just like so many others I bought this for the integrated lights. Great idea, rubbish product. Both helmets had the same problem. The lights did not go on!Surely these things should be tested before they are sent out. Torch need a Quality Assurance department.I have now been waiting the best part of two weeks to start commuting to work the second helmet is going back tomorrow. I then have been told I may have several weeks wait to get my money. Then I can possibly buy a helmet. I'm not normally a ranter, but this whole experience has really caused so much inconvenience.

Too small. By a lot! Great product but wish it came with varying sizes. Had to return.

Brilliant product but experienced problems with initial charging. Found a video which explained that you have to wiggle the charging leads to make the charging light blink on and off a few times to kick start the charging process. Apart from that great!

Very expensive for what this product is, and poor design and built quality.The helmet doesn’t feel like it’s strong enough to protect your head upon impact.Comfort and fit are not good as I feel the helmet presses my head too hard in only two spots.Needs a proprietary cable to charge, which is pathetic in the age of all-USB.I recommend looking elsewhere, despite the great idea this product is based from.

This is the second one of these I have bought, and the light broke as soon as I dropped the helmet on the floor- not even with high impact. Very poorly made in the light area , and the helmet looks awful when the light is broken and you basically have to throw it out since it can't be used as is. The first one broke just as easily after 1 week of use. Very disappointing as the concept is great!

I haven’t yet worn it in the dark but wearing it around the town it is extremely comfortable. It fits well and easy to recharge
