Just gifted this red, Lego-compatible "technic" plane to my 10-year-old, who's a seasoned Lego builder with around 30 sets under his belt. This one soared right to the top of his favorites list! What sets it apart is the realistic piston mechanism that moves realistically when the propeller spins – a cool feature that adds a touch of realism to playtime.Despite being an off-brand, the quality and the intermediate skill level challenge were spot on for him. It's a fantastic option for kids (and adults) who love building and are fascinated by the mechanics of how things work. If your child is into detailed, functional models, this plane is sure to be a hit.

As a pilot, I loved putting this together. It was a lot of fun!

The Mould King Technic Model Aircraft Building Set has an articulated prop and it spins and the pistons move within the build of the motor. Some of the peices don't fit snuggly and pop off, especially where the tubing is connected to the plane. The tail fin also frequently pops off. It is a really easy and quick build except for the blocks falling off frequently. My 7 year old son had a blast putting it together despite having to repeatedly stop to glue certain parts together. If the blocks were high quality and better quality controlled with this brand I would say that the designs and instruction quality could rival the name brand version. Unfortunately, I keep running into issues with these builds and for the price of them being not far off from the name brand I feel they should be higher quality pieces.

Fun building-block kit that I have been working on with my child. We are almost complete with it and work on it a little every weekend. He is five so requires my help for this model.

I got this as a gift for my younger brother and he really loved it! He needed my help but only to put in tricky pieces. The technic-styled pieces are really fun to put together and is really satisfying to see the pistons move with the mechanism once finished. Instructions were clear on what pieces to use and best of all, it has numbered bags for each phase of steps.Overall, I would recommend it as a good gift for anyone who likes building sets and technic sets

It is worth noting that the numbered bags don't correspond to build phases ; it is just so that they have the right number of bags, I suspect.Instructions : The instructions are clearly printed and fairly simple to follow.Parts quality : The parts are all of a consistently high fit and finish.Set design : The set is fairly straightforward, representing a simple propeller driven plane, and showcasing the technical feature of the plane's engine (2 cylinder) working as the prop is rotated.Overall thoughts : Simple, straightforward, and a fun little build. Overall, I like it.

Like the finished plane. I say the same in some of my other reviews. These cheaper brand “LEGO” brands such as Mould King specifically are great. I see reviews about missing pieces but I’ve built quite a few with extra pieces and nothing missing. I’d recommend this plant it has a great presence when it’s finished. Directions are solid. Picture based and easy to read!
