Great quality
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant little device that works exactly as described! I bought the DSD TECH SH-U10 USB to RS485 Converter for Modbus to communicate with some solar batteries, and it performed perfectly. The drivers installed easily on my Windows laptop without any issues, and the connection to the batteries was instant. It pulled all the data I needed smoothly and reliably, with no dropouts or connection problems. The build quality feels solid, and the cable is a good length — ideal for working in tight spaces. I was really impressed with how stable the communication was, even during longer sessions. For the price, it’s excellent value and a must-have if you’re working with Modbus systems or solar setups. Simple plug-and-play setup, reliable performance, and accurate data transfer — couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended!

Could not get it to work with a Pi
Loved the fact that it was small and discreet. Tested Under Windows and worked flawlessly. Spent the next 2 hours trying to get it working on a Pi and no joy. I did buy another brand, plugged into Windows worked fine, plugged into Pi and worked straight away. Yes I followed the instructions, I have multiple RS485 devices that can receive and send data, but it just did not want to send anything on the 485 bus. Sure it is a good product as I have quite a few items from DSD Tech and they work perfectly.

Simply works.
Bought this to connect a victron et112 meter to raspberry pi running venus os. Connected via a ethernet cable....it just worked.... It's now measuring my grid power usage.

This works perfectly out of the box, if you are a technical. I had to go to device manager and update the drivers manually from disk. I learned on windows 95, so no problem. After that it has been fully compatible with everything RS485. I use ModBus for just about everything . It hooks up to LG XGb plc with zero issues at 115.2Kbps and other modbus equipment. Just plug and go. The rx/tx lights are nice indicator and helps you diagnose if your not getting a response. Construction is decent for a $10 device, and really not complain about. I don’t suggest an extended industrial deployment with this thing. It is more of a hobbyist , R&D device to have in the lab.

Lo compré porque necesitaba urgentemente comunicar con un dispositivo a través de Modbus RTU. Me llegó al día siguiente y cumplió con lo esperado. Pude comunicarme con el dispositivo y ajustarle la configuración.
