Very effective
Efficient, easy to use, set, operate. Good range, good soaking, this is the one to get ignore whatever else is in your basket. I’ve bought too many useless ones, do yourself a solid.

Excellent and does the trick.
We had our small lawn renovated this year and wanted to keep it looking good. This works a treat. It is sturdy, easy to attach and gives good coverage. I may be being dim here but I didn't realise that the water pressure makes it turn round and 'do' the other side! Often our water pressure is really low, but still works well. Don't know why we haven't bought one before. As I write this everyone elses lawn is patchy and brown but ours is a lush, healthy green.Part down to the treatment it's had and part down to this beauty. A good idea - if you have small kids they would love this!!

Works well
Easy to use and does the job of watering lawn and medium sized garden. Not used a great deal as living in Scotland we have had plenty of rain!

Excellent once the stopped revolving problem was solved
UPDATEI had updated my five star review to one star as the sprinkler stopped revolving after just over a year making it somewhat useless but I then discovered hidden among the one star reviews is a suggestion from Hozelock to a disgruntled customer with the same rotation problem of trying WD40. It didn't work for him but, with nothing to lose, I gave it a whirl.I sprayed down the nozzles and the gaps around all the revolving parts and sprayed into the hose inlet, then held the unit upside down and sprayed into the inlet again until WD40 started to drip out then tried connecting a hose again. Problem solved and it now works perfectly again. I have no idea if that is the best way to lubricate but it worked for me and may solve the problem for some other customers with units that are no longer revolving. Perhaps Hozelock should mention a possible solution to the revolve problem in their marketing which I am sure would avoid a fair number of complaints looking at the one star reviews!I have two units so will be spraying the second one, which is working all right, just as a precaution. So, with the proviso you might have to use WD40, or equivalent from time to time, the original review stands.A YEAR AGO . . . . I have used a Gardena pulse sprinkler with no problems for many years to water fruit and veg at the bottom of the garden usually around 10.30pm when pressure is somewhere near normal again after most people have finished their evening watering and sprinkling. But new houses have been built just beyond our boundary and pulse sprinklers by their very nature are quite noisy, especially in the stillness of night, so out of consideration to new neighbours I tried this pro sprinkler and have been impressed.I am not sure it manages the coverage it claims, at least not on my water pressure, which, admittedly is reduced by the distance from the mains supply to the bottom of the garden, but it does carry a decent distance, about six to seven metre radius, and the jets are more upright rather than the flatter throw of a pulse sprinkler so the water falls closer to the vertical which can help if any pots or plants are in a rain shadow. The range, obviously, depends upon pressure at the time, but, late at night it is not far short of the pulse jet it has replaced, doing the same job but in silence. The excellent Gardena will still have its uses but for automatic late night watering the Hozelock model does much the same job and is less likely to annoy neighbours who are far close to the sound than we are.

Hozelock Round Sprinkler Pro 314m²
I have 3 other Hozelock round sprinkler pros, two of them identical to this unit and the third having a sledge plastic base instead of the spike assembly fitted. My oblong lawns are quite small, front 8.4m x 3.2m and rear 7.7m x 4.7m, I chose the round sprinklers over the oscillating style to minimise the height of the spray.Knowing that Amazon do not arrange the photographs in order that you upload them, I'll try and explain the ease of use.Four photographs show the unit in operation,1 x mist spray, 2 x jet spray and 1 x showing the foreground unit in jet spray whilst the background unit is in mist spray.Three card scanned images are self explanatory, turning the red dials to the angle of the area (circle) to be watered, the jet spray and mist spray heads.Three photographs show the unscrewing and removal of the filter for cleaning and refitting.Three photographs show how to remove the body from the spike assembly, hold on to the yellow (water inlet) section whilst turning the grey collar (below the spray circle dial) to separate. Two photographs show the procedure to turn the spray head around from jet to mist, by holding the red collar ( at the top) and turning the yellow grey spray nozzle head in the direction of the arrow engraved.Since my lawns are small, I don't open my outdoor tap fully (about one full turn) until the desired spray area is covered. I use one unit on jet spray for my front lawn and two units on mist spray for the rear lawn.I've had my three original units over four years, this spiked unit was purchased to replace the sprinkler with the wide yellow sledge base which is more suited to sitting on hard bases where a spike is unusable.Hopefully this has answered any questions and as you can guess, I would recommend the Hozelock round sprinkler pro 314m².

Simple to set up
Can cover a massive area without too much wasted water.I am responsible for the garden in our shared flat and live on the first floor. I can dive the beds in the vet large shared gardens with one move of this sprinkler, which means far trips up and down the stairs, a real boon for me.

The best sprinkler. With a fault
I'm a landscaper and I think this is a superb sprinkler for large area watering, we've bought many for our clients to use on new lawns and I use one myself. BUT - the support spike isn't strong enough where it's joined to the base of the sprinkler. This takes the strain when the sprinkler is inserted into the ground and it usually breaks off and leaks within 18 months of use, even when used on soft ground We've had many (6 +) fail in this way.

Ottimo!
