The receiver is very well made and the remote is sufficient but could use improvement and would not run up the cost much. Mainly, the remote does not have a lanyard loop so you need to either hold the remote or MacGyver something to make it work. I went the MacGyver route. I found a small mesh pouch roughly the same size as the remote and added a lanyard plus made a pressure pad on the pouch to help with the not so good remote button. All in all I do recommend this for the price.

This thing is awesome! I had problems with my foot control and thought I would try the remote. Easy set up and pair then it was 3 hours of shooting without a single issue. I was not limited to the length of the pedal cable and could move to any position to shoot from.

This is a huge upgrade from the foot pedal, which you have to hold all the way through the cycle and release before the next one flings out. It's a real pain to get your footing back and fire on target using the pedal. The wireless system is a one-button push, and it completes a full cycle. Binding the TX to the RX was a really simple process and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend it, along with the wobble base. You can upgrade one thing at a time to spread out the cost, but you'll be happier if you can get the clay machine, wireless remote, and wobble in one fell swoop. The whole thing costs a pretty penny, but boy is it worth it! Love this system

Understandably shipping took a little while but I just love this remote system! My Wheelybird is 10 years old, 1.0 version so it wasnt going to be just plug and play like the 2.0 or now the new 3.0 version. Still relatively simple and easy enough to wire in a matching 3 prong pigtail to the thrower to be just like the newer versions. Once the 3 prong pigtail adapter was wired to the machine, the remote receiver can be plugged in. (Sounds more difficult than it is). I always liked my Wheelybird, now I just love it!!!! Couldnt be happier! No more dealing with 75 ft of cord, place the thrower where you want and walk to where you wish to shoot from. I did a quick 75 yard measurement and it works flawlessly, I have no doubt 100 yards is feasible. Thank you Champion for another great product!! Easily gets a 5 star rating! The only suggestions I can make is to add the option of purchasing the 3 prong adapter pigtail for the older 1.0 units easier AND how about adding an eyelet on the remote itself to allow a lanyard of choosing. So what I did was put a peel and stick phone tether tab along with a lanyard. Perfect! Thanks again, 2 thumbs up! 5 stars! I now have the Champion Wobbler in route.

Works till now, even with the same battery.

So I have bought two of these for my two Workhorse traps. Amazing! I can now do really long distance shots. I even set up both receivers to accept the one remote signal, and using the delay function on one of the traps, I can press the button on the remote, and in a predetermined 3 seconds, the first trap will shoot, followed by the second trap about a second later, all with one press of the button, and from a good 50 yards away. Cables suck!

This remote has really added to my fun factor shooting clays in the back field. Way better than a 20' foot pedal. I can now actually reposition or even hide the clay thrower without being limited to 20 feet. Wobbler next on the want list.
