Did exactly what it was supposed to do the boot lid doesn’t slap down anymore just slides down

No fitting instructions.
I've not fitted it yet, however it seems sturdy enough to do job, it should be a simple fitting process, but fitting instructions would have been nice.

Item states that it fits 2015-2020 toyota hilux 125gun but it doesn't fit my 2019 toyota hilux 125gun so sent it back
