Our 7 year old loved finding out about loads of different artists - and we have since bought it for quite a few birthday presents. The balance between modern and classic is uneven.
It’s a good mixture of paintings (and a couple of photographs), but too many entries featuring black American artists. They feature obscure artists with works many people will not connect with, just to try and ‘balance’ the items for the sake of racial inclusion. Stick to pieces that will introduce the audience to some very historic classic pieces with an appropriate level of modern art.
