This floor jack and jack stand set is amazing! I got this to use on my wife’s Jeep to change the motor mounts and it worked perfectly. Most jacks are not designed to be used with the new car unibody style frame but this was perfect, it easily fit underneath and had grooves that fit directly on to the unibody construction. Best yet is that it came ready to use with 2 jack stands that are very heavy duty and have a really nice locking system, they fit right into the jack without having to lift the vehicle then re-position the jack just to be in the factory recommended lift location. I have worked on other vehicles with a traditional type jack and have always had to lift from a different area than where recommended just so I can place the jack stand there and not run the risk of damaging the car. This was very easy to use, easily lifted to a comfortable height and was very stable making me feel very comfortable while underneath. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is working on any car or SUV where you have to get under the vehicle.

Great packaging, arrived with no damage. Assembly was super quick, maybe 2 minutes. The first time I used this (past the return window), I wished I hadn't bought it and had gotten the more expensive RennStand instead. 3 negatives: First, if your car has a small jackpoint (not an entire frame but a small pad), the part of the jack that lifts the small part of the car covers up the part where the jack stand needs to go. So either the jack pad is offset/barely on the jack point and you risk it slipping off, or you place the jackstand offset/barely on the jack point and you risk it slipping off. Not safe for smaller jacking points. Secondly, when I needed to reposition the jack and pump up a different part of the car, the jack stopped lifting. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong with it. Underneath the jack is a horizontal cylinder with 2 metal arms attached to it, and on one side the snap ring keeping the arm in place won't stay on. It seems like a normal non-defective ring but when I tried to put it back on it just pops off again. The ring on the other side's arm is staying on...for now. I tapped a tiny screw in and will see if that holds the arm in place. Lastly, when I contacted Amazon for assistance either getting parts for this brand new jack which I only used once so far, they said I need to contact CAT. I did, and of course they said since I didn't buy it from their website, there is nothing I can do and should contact Amazon. So avoid this product, which is made by Powerbuilt with CAT branding.

This does not clear the side skirts on modern sedans. For reference, I have a 2019 Chevy Impala. I was also pretty upset to find out that I am only eligible for a partial return because I had that audacity to make an earnest attempt at making this jack work. $100 back on a $350 jack, thanks CAT!
