Lightweight
I have been contemplating buying something like this item for a few years to reduce heat loss and increase efficiency in windy conditions. I had even considered making my own. I saw the price this was going for and took the plunge, after reading the reviews. I'm grateful to everyone who took the time to tell their account, both positive and otherwise. Lightweight vs flimsy? I bought this to be lightweight, which it is, so will accept that I may need to support it with a rock or two sometimes. Pins coming out? I decided that I will accept the breadth and (light)weight as is, so I crimped top and bottom of the plate tubes, which took about five minutes. End of pin loss problem. The plates are stamped out of very thin alloy to keep the weight down, so may be a little sharp. A few minutes with some fine sandpaper will cure this. As for the imperfect finish, I did not buy this for its looks, rather for its function and given the price, accept the blemishes caused during manufacture. I'm looking forward to using this windshield for many years to come and would recommend it.

Lightweight and a bit flimsy
The wind shield was bought to stop wind for a small camping gas stove. It has 10 sections hinged together which can make a fairly good size windbreak. In my case it will go right around the single burner and leave room for the kettle on top. I don't think it would go right around a two burner stove but it would still help prevent wind blow. It has two small extra length hinge pins which can be pushed into the ground to give a bit more stability. These are at each end of the shield and I would have liked an extra one in the middle. Light weight and cheap enough though Does the job.

Effective but poor stability
This works well and is light weight. Not suitable for use on a table. It's design leaves it quite unstable. Would probably be okay on soft ground where you can embed it slightly.

A must have for the outdoor stoves 👍
Great bit of kit. Used it at fishing for my ridge monkey stoves and they do what they say on the tin 👍 made from aluminium so very light weight and comes in a little black bag. Great little wind breaker at a decent price too

Small kit, big difference
Great bit of gear for cooking on a camp stove out in the wilds. It folds out easily, stands securely, and does exactly what it’s meant to — shields the flame from wind so your stove actually heats food instead of the surrounding countryside. The aluminum plates feel lightweight but sturdy, and it packs down neatly so it doesn’t take up valuable space in your kit. Setup is quick, and once it’s in place it makes a noticeable difference to cooking efficiency and fuel use. Simple, practical, and very effective. A must-have accessory if you cook outdoors and don’t want the wind sabotaging your dinner.

Low price effective wind shield.
I was cautious after reading the other reviews, however it is what it says it is. I bought it for function not asthetics and it does the job. Sensible handling reduces the slippage in the wire "hinges" and it does fold down to virtually pocket size. At the price paid (bought when on offer) it is good value for money. At 23cm or 9" tall it makes an adequate wind shield when using small camping stoves. This obviously saves fuel when cooking. The simple design and16 plates provide for several configurations depending on need. Overall I am very happy with the product. A quick wipe over to remove some light oil from its manufacture and it was ready for use.
