Total solution - everything you need is included
Been shopping for a backflow preventer for two of my hose bibbs - neither of the two big box stores carried the fine thread version. This package of two units came with washers and teflon tape to complete the installation. Took me less than 5 minutes each to install! Solid brass and the threads worked perfectly without any hassle. Highly recommend!

Faucet back-flow valve
The item seems to be made of heavy brass metal the item works as it should it definitely lets out a big spray of water if you turn faucet off with a lot of pressure in your hose to avoid getting sprayed leave your nozzle open when turning off your faucet that will A-leave the pressure and you won’t get sprayed fast shipping too i would recommend this item and this seller

Good Backflow Valve
These are made to prevent dirty water from backflowing into the clean water pipes in the house from pressurization. While I've never known anyone to actually have this problem, having the valve is code in most places, so there ya go. At least these are moderately priced compared to the hardware store. The item is all brass, heat and cold tolerant, and comes with gaskets and plumbers tape. Use real plumbers tape from the store. The included roll is so thin it's almost see thru.

Good for Hot Climates
Southern California summers are no joke. Where I live, the thermometer often pushes past 110 degrees. Shortly after we bought our home, I got to work setting up our dream garden in our backyard. I planted our favorite exotic fruit trees, boysenberry, blackberry and raspberry vines. We even had a nice assortment of vegetables growing by the time our first child was born. All with a nice self-watering drip system that I installed myself. She was born during the hottest part of the summer and I remember being at the hospital with my wife for three days. When we came home, our house had no hot water (the water heater had somehow failed) and our garden was a dried out wasteland. Our dream garden was literally toast. The reason? One faulty vacuum breaker. In the three days that we were away, the temperatures had soared above 110 degrees and the vacuum breaker that we purchased from the hardware store was a cheap plastic piece of garbage that could not handle the heat. Every time the drip system activated, the water would just pour right out of the broken vacuum breaker and form a pool right next to the hose bib. For three days in scorching weather, those plants didn't get a single drop of water. Most were dead. A lucky handful survived and remain there today.Don't get a cheap plastic vacuum breaker if you live in exceptionally hot or cold climates. The one I purchased after that looked exactly like these do. Solid brass and rated up to 185 degrees. I wasn't going to let a stupid little part like that ruin all of the work, time, and money that we had invested in our garden again. My daughter is turning six this summer and that new vacuum breaker is still going strong without any issues whatsoever. I'm installing a new drip system on the other side of our house now and I used one of these as the vacuum breaker. It works great. While I haven't yet had the "pleasure" of testing it during one of those crazy SoCal heat waves, I'll happily update my review and rating here if it doesn't pass the torture test this summer.
