GENUINE Frigidaire 297441904 Freezer Wire Shelf

I live in an apartment, so I can't replace my refrigerator. One peeve I have had since I moved in was that, although there are clearly slots designed to hold a shelf at the midway point in the freezer, the manufacturer declined to actually *make* a shelf to put there. It was completely insane - why create a place to put a shelf, but then not manufacture said corresponding shelf? I searched everywhere - I thought it was a mistake! Surely Whirlpool in its wisdom would not deliberately design a product with this absurd flaw?!?! But alas, they did. I even called them - no dice.So, in desperation, I carefully measured the shelf space and went online. It took me about an hour to find a shelf that had the correct dimensions - trust me, this was not easy. Because it's not adjustable, the dimensions had to be virtually perfect both in depth and width, and a lot of manufacturers provide the model number for specific parts to specific refrigerators, but not the exact dimensions of said parts. I finally found one that included the info re dimensions, but was about 1/4" off in width. However, I decided to take a chance and get it it because the slots into which the shelf was to slide to slide are over 1/2" wide, giving me a little bit of wiggle room. Unfortunately, the company didn't have these shelves in stock! UGH!So, what did I do? I went to the Amazon! Fortunately at that point I had the manufacturer's name and the exact model number I wanted and could easily search for the exact thing I wanted. I found it on Amazon in 30 seconds, and voila - perfect fit even though it's a completely different manufacturer.

Our freezer came with the 3 shelves supplied by manufacturer but was made to have 4. So we had to find and purchase the 4th shelf since,for some unknown reasons, the mfg thinks they only need to supply 3 for an appliance that was made to hold 4. Anyway, the shelf was easy to install, fit fine and arrived early. I am very pleased with the shelf but find it abhorrent that the manufacturer gets by with selling an "incomplete" item and expects the customer to spend additional money to make the appliance complete. Why don't they just supply the 4 shelves and increase the price? That said, very happy with the shelf.

I have a whirlpool Amana refrigerator (model number: ART104TFDB00) but I live in an apartment and this fridge came without a shelf in the freezer. It’s odd because there are grooves on the sides of the freezer indicating that a shelf can be put there but when I checked my fridge manufacturer to buy said part there was no option. Cue me looking at Amazon for shelves to fit my freezer. I came across another review on this shelf that had a very similar problem as I did. He happened to provide the model number of his fridge and when I compared it with mine I realized they were very similar in size and decided that I bite the bullet and purchase this. I am pleased to say that it fits amazingly well in my fridge and am happy that I came across that review.

A perfect fit as a top shelf for my Frigidaire freezer. Odd that the Freezer was sold without it; there are holes in the sides of the Freezer where the shelf fits exactly. It is quite expensive, but I didn’t find it cheaper elsewhere. It is also shorter than the other shelves, but that’s okay with me. I really needed it. Initially I was told it was delivered when it was not. The seller responded quickly and I finally received the package in very good condition.

Got my shelf and it had a few nicks on it, so I contacted the seller, who was FAST to reply and to send me a new shelf right away. I'm VERY happy. The shelves now are a bit different from the shelves that came with my freezer (the front edge, I mean) but it fits perfectly and works very well for me. Thank you a TON!!!

I'm a bit dissapointed in this product. I bought a new freezer and was dismayed that it didn't come with enought shelves to fill all the foles. I searched around for a new shelf, looking for a direct replacement part for the deeper upper shelves. This was the part number from the manual. I contacted Frigidaire and chatted with a product support person who confirmed this was the same part number as the ones I had.When it arrived, I was excited to put it in and start loading the freezer. Unfortunately, it's about 2" less deep that the other twuo upper shelves. It's not a deal breaker, but it was a bit dissapointing.

Didn’t fit in my freezer

As other reviewers said, this shelf is a couple inches short on the depth. I didn't want to pop out an existing shelf to take side-by-side pics, but hopefully you can see what I mean with a pic looking down on 2 shelves. The top one is the one for this listing.Having said that, I did buy this shelf knowing it would not be as deep as the other shelves. I had looked at other storage options for my freeze. In the end, decided it was more functional to have an actual shelf that I can add bins to for organization vs trying to cobble something together that wasn't made for this freezer.Tip on installing: when facing the freezer, place the right side of the shelf in the holes first, push into the wall slightly (like a toilet paper holder), and then lower the left side into the holes. I tried it left side first, and for some reason it had no give and I ended up scraping up the freezer wall.
