these night lights work exactly as described. Very nice at a reasonable price. They go off with light & come on when dark and the brightness can be adjusted. They can be plugged in top or bottom plug of the electrical outlet; either way, the other plug can be used. If you want night lights for your home, I recommend these. I am really pleased with the way they look & function.

It is so easy to choose the amount of light you want in a dark room. I also love that the light automatically turns off when you turn the overhead light on and comes back on when you turn the overhead light off. So inexpensive. I purchased a set more than two years ago for a bathroom and a hallway and they are still working perfectly.

The light works well and the adjustable dimming is wonderful. I bought these for my father, but unfortunately it turns off in 20 seconds, which is too fast for a slow moving senior. Since it plugs into an outlet, there's no real need to have it turn off so quickly, argh. I'll have to buy a different night light now.

I have a backlight style nightlight in a hall to my upstairs bathroom that has worked great for years but is a little too bulky for easy travel packing. This new MAZ-TEK is fairly light, thin and flat so takes up less space for packing and has a nice modern look on the wall. The dimmer slide works well and is very nice; you can get lots of light or just a little light as desired. Now two caveats that may or may not interest others:1. Once on, it stays on until the other lighting in the area approaches what I would consider "daylight". As an example, if the sun comes up outside but my drapes are still closed, the nightlight will stay on even though there is enough light for me to see to navigate. As soon as the drapes are open it turns off.2. While the amount of light can be adjusted and the unit has a frosted screen, it is still a direct light as opposed to some nightlights which work more like backlights. This is good if you wish to directly light a particular area but if it is somewhere that you would see if from bed, the direct light might be irritating. Just depends on whee you put it.

Great night lights for the price. Cool light, not a glaring bright light.
