Gorgeous pillowcases! Very nicely made, and intensely black in colour. I love the zipper closure; I don't think I can go back to fold-over closures ever again. The zipper keeps the case in place, which is great because otherwise it'd slip right off the pillow. They fit well on standard size pillows; if you use a memory foam pillow they might not fill out to all the edges, but it doesn't matter since the zipper keeps the pillow from sliding out. If your pillow is REALLY puffy, it make take a little effort to stuff 'em in, but it's worth it. If you have a cooling pillow, these silk pillowcases really enhance the cooling effect somehow, really comfortable sleeping (especially in hot weather). I typically sleep in a bonnet, but that sometimes feels a bit oppressive and my head would like to breath at night, so these silk pillow cases are super helpful at keeping my hair protected while still being out and loose. They wash well on a delicate setting in cold water, and I always hang them to dry. I didn't experience any dye running in the wash, but I'm not sure if any dye may leach if sleeping on them with wet/damp hair, since I never do that to begin with, or if it is a particularly sweaty night. I don't think it will since nothing happened in the wash, but if staining the pillow is a concern, using a pillow protector or another pillowcase first, and then slipping on the silk one may help. Either way, I'll be getting more of these for sure!

These pillowcases are a silk-satin. That means that the inside of the pillowcase is dull and not super smooth, but the outside, where we place our skin and hair, is super satiny smooth. I have curly hair, and noticed after I got my first silk pillowcase that I could take a nap (not a usual activity for me), and when I got up, my curls were not a disaster like they are when I sleep on a cotton pillowcase. I ordered a purple one first, which was more of a dull aubergine, but still technically purple. I dye my hair purple, and the first week after the dye job (oVertone, great product) there is some color transfer on my white cotton pillowcases, but it washes out. So if the purple dye transfers to a purple silk pillow case, no big deal. So I got a second one. Finally, I decided to get a pair of white silk pillowcases. These are just as wonderful as the purple ones. I hand washed them and let them drip dry from soaking wet. I did press them because I am just like that. They are so fluid and liquid. Since I just got the white ones, I haven't had a chance to put them on my pillow, but tonight is the night. I sleep well on these, and my curls are still nice in the morning, which says to me that less damage is happening to my hair. The zipper on all 4 of my cases has been very functional and sturdy, so no complaints there. Let's talk about caring for these items. They ARE silk, and silk is fussy and the fibers will break in the washer and especially the dryer. If you choose to wash them like that, you should know what will happen. My silk cases have stained a bit from my nighttime moisturizer and the remnants of my eyeliner. (I probably wear too much, but I wear makeup for me, no one else.) Sometimes I will treat the eyeliner with blue Dawn, but it doesn't always work. But I knew this would happen, so I will live with it. My bedroom is not a public place, so if the pillowcases are not perfect, who cares? I use them for my face and my curls. Finally, I must say this. I have seen reviews with photos, and the photos show pillowcases ON THE PILLOW still with the shipping folds in the fabric. It looks like the buyer just took the pillowcase out of the package and put it on the pillow without washing it. Please don't do that. When any fiber item is made, whether a garment or a towel or bedding, the factory does NOT wash the fabric. The fabric is woven/spun/knitted, and put on bolts; the bolts are shipped to the factory where the item is made. The item is cut and sewn, then shipped to the vendor who ships it to the buyer. At no point is the fabric washed. That is why you should always wash anything that comes in contact with your skin: towels, bedding, underwear, etc. The factories, especially in China, do not put much effort into cleanliness. Rant over. These are great pillowcases. They are good for my skin and protect my purple curls.

This is a great pillowcase. The zipper is a great touch since it stays on my pillow. It is soft, feels expensive, and the color is beautiful. Have I noticed a change in my hair or skin? Not necessarily, but it hasn't done any harm either, so why not? I'm trying to help my hair grow back healthier after I cut it (it's been struggling) so anything I can do to help it along I will do. I do personally prefer silk to satin for the pillowcases, and having both I can feel a difference. The silk has a natural softness to it that just makes bedtime a nice time.

Hubby bought these pillowcases for our Cal King bed. First of all these are not made from Silk but are silky smooth and cool against the skin. The zipper enclosure is exactly what hubby wanted to keep the pillows from sliding out of the case. However, these are not hidden zippers and they do show, which was not how they were advertised when we ordered them (it appears the description was edited because now it doesn't even mention the zipper). If you are ok with that, they are comfortable, silky smooth and good quality fabric (just not silk). These were washed prior to use and we didn't notice any bleeding of color onto our sheets or headboard area that others have mentioned. However, our sheets are also black in color so doubt we would have seen any. Washed & dried with no issue, pilling or discolorization.

These are the only pillow cases I sleep on. Soft satin feeling pillow cases. I like the zippers rather than folding the edge over. It keeps my very long hair from breaking. Soft and comfortable. They keep me cool. Nice quality in a large variet

This pillowcase is very comfortable, it is soft and fit. My Tempur-pedic standard sized pillow perfectly in the fabric is a good weight and excellent thickness for a pillowcase. It is not in flimsy material. I purchased this to have a much softer fabric, then high-quality cotton or velvet flannel to improve sleeping with dry skin and eye issues. I washed it by hand and it dried in a few hours. It’s easy to care for the zipper seems to work fine. Note that this review was written after only one night’s use.

This case is cool and soft. I like it. There is no odor and it washes well and dries quickly without dryer.

So this is very soft and very beautiful and a better deal than the big brand name so it’s worth the money but after learning how the silk is made grossed me out to much because it’s literally made from caterpillar cocoons, icky poo I returned
