4C Low Porosity Approved ✔️
I have 4C Low Porosity hair, and have been looking for a gel to use for braid outs, twist outs, etc because ECO Styler tears my scalp up! This gel is GREAT! I’ve used it once and I’m HOOKED! I did my normal wash day routine, and added the gel as my last step before braiding. Put my hair cap on and then went to sleep. Girl..when I took it out the next dayyy I was sold lol I was honestly sold. This gel held my curls so well! It does NOT shed or clump up making my scalp feel suffocated. And best of all I’ve been wearing this since Sunday this week(November 3rd) and I’m writing this review today,(November 8th) and these are still holding! If you’re scared it won’t hold the naps, girl it will. The Nappy is happy over here.✨

I love this it’s not flaky at all, really good hold and as a curly girl when I straighten my hair I can use this to do side parts without it curling my hair back up and that’s probably my fav part

Good but flakes up after a while
It has great hold, but it will flake up white after a while and it makes your hair very stiff. You’re going to have to wash your hair. If you wanna take it back out of the ponytail I would recommend this if you’re somebody who does a lot of slick backs, but remember your hair will get tough. It does do its job of holding, though this little bottle lasts a long time.

Great product for natural hair! Not worth the price on Amazon
I hate to give this product 3 stars because I absolutely love it! I have thick, coarse 4C natural hair and this product does wonders for my twist outs and wash n' gos. I hate to use the word sticky but that's the best way to describe the texture. If you're a new naturalist and are looking for a product to give you defined curls-- this is it! You can also use this product to "train" your curls. My curls are super tight and so they eaily get frizzy, but I've noticed that after using this product for some period of time, my curls have learned to keep their definition even after I wash the product out. After a week, it will start to get flaky but that's normal for any gel. HOWEVER, I had to give this product 3 stars because this 8.8oz container is not worth $5-6. You can buy a 35.28oz container for $2.99 at Target, so I suggest checking your local store first unless you absolutely have to buy it here online.

Use as directed and you'll love it!
The size and price is perfect if you are wanting to try out a new product. It is exactly as described. It has a non offensive smell, non stickey texture, and is easy to smooth onto the hair. I ordered it bc I wanted to try it on my natural hair for shingling and wash and go's and the YouTube gurus instruct you to use a bunch of it at a time... Don't do that!! I wouldn't do that with any hair gel bc it dries out the hair and even this gel, when using to much of it, will leave residue. Doing it the YouTube way left a wad of dry gel in random places in my hair. Only way to get rid of it was to wash it and ruin the style that took 2 hours to get! Use as directed and you'll love this hair gel!

I was surprised at how well this product works. I heard about it being economical and a good product on short mention in a YouTube video. I bought the small jar to try it out. I believe my next purchase will be the big jar

Best Gel So Far!
I have used many gels that absolutely did not live up to their claims. But for the first time, I can say that this gel really holds my hair! Even with the hot temperatures, I do not have a problem. I would say I have 3c hair and it never leaves my hair crunchy.

This gel is perfect for wash and go hair styles. It does not flake like the other gels and has a firm hold when I sleek my hair in a ponytail.

Giving this 4 stars because of the price. I bought this after doing some research on curly hair care. This seems to be the hype and I could see why. This gel has amazing hold while keeping the hair soft. The price is outrageous though. I was in the US recently and found an extra large tub for a few dollars more. So I’ll be checking the hair supply store for this in the future. I’m aure I can get it cheaper! Great gel!

Think it's just as good as any other gel for curly/coily black hair. I expected a dramatic difference due to the hype on YouTube. If you use ecostyler, you might be better off with that for less coins and more product.
