A fast way to add wireless carplay
I have a 2023 Bronco Sport but it didn't come with Wireless CarPlay. I saw this U2Air Pro and decided to try it. It works great. It connects very fast, in fact, probably faster than it did with my phone wired in. It starts right up when I start it up and carplay is loaded in no time. It works just like my wife's built in wireless carplay does. Maybe even better at times. The only real difference is in my dash I see it showing that I'm connected to the OTTO-XXXX device but other than that, it looks and works the same. It seems responsive and I haven't had any issues with it. Setup and install took about 5 minutes. I highly recommend it if you want to get rid of the wired carplay. It makes getting in and out of the car so much easier. I don't have to plug my phone in at all or if I do, it's in a charging port instead of the carplay port. It came with the USB C -USB-C wire and I used that. It's very short but I put the box in the cubby right by the ports. It also came with double sided to tape to mount it if you want. It has a red and blue light on it so you know when it's connected or not. Simple but effective. Highly recommend this thing if you are tired of the wires.

Worked only for 5 months
Stopped working after 4 months. Until then it was quite reliable and performed well. If support is not helpful, will not recommend this

Works well with solid connection. A little slow to bind to the phone when car is first started.
Works well to connect my iPhone to my Maverick’s system to enable CarPlay via bluetooth. Connection holds well. My only complaint is that it can take a fe minutes to connect…so i may be 1/2-3/4 of a mile down the road before google maps comes up on the in car display.

Fine but has flaws
Seems to have excessive lag. Also can’t get my Siri to actually work with it. Wont connect even if I am not connected to my car’s Bluetooth. Just won’t play sound. Easy to install but doesn’t work for my needs

Outstanding!
Was pleasantly surprised with setup and clarity. Connects immediately with very few issues other than every once in a while, it fails to connect right away and I have to disconnect the ottocast from the usb port and reconnect. I’d buy it again!

Acceptable when it works but troublesome when it doesn’t.
First, In my situation it took over a month to ship. That may not be the case now but it was for me. Setup was simple but after a couple weeks I would experience intermittent connectivity forcing a hard restart by unplugging and re-plugging the device which defeats the point of purchasing this product- especially at this price point- I find it difficult to recommend. I was able to find a work around which would be to disconnect/turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal on my phone and immediately turning it on again which would reestablish the connection and resume playing music or directions, although recently, I have had to start doing this 3-4 times in a row which caused me to revert back to unplugging and re-plugging the device. If the main purpose of this device is to provide hands free/ wireless connectivity, then it has not proven to be effective because as you can see, I have been using my hands the entire time, making this a burden to drive with and potentially dangerous if you need to take your eyes off the road. However when it does work, it plays music and directions well but the map does Jump and flip around slightly while driving or sitting still. The connection time is much longer than advertised and making calls are a bit difficult- The hard wired connection directly from car to phone provides a decent phone quality on both ends, but when using this device, often people can not hear me and I’ll need to connect to my AirPods or phone speaker. I did purchased one of the other Ottocast devices that offered SharePlay to compare but setting it up was a complete disaster. I returned it. This item seems to be better than the other entry level wireless products they offer but it’s not effective to the degree that I would suggest you buy it. Maybe my device is defective or maybe it’s something that they can do through a software update but as of now, find something better. Car: 10th Gen Honda accord Phone: iPhone/iOS.

This is a fantastic adaptor, I’ve had this for six months, and have been using it twice a day for about an hour each time. I have a Chevy Tahoe, and live in Saudi Arabia, during the recent summer, temperatures outside are up to 50 degrees Celsius, and I leave this product inside the car in full sun.

This is an outstanding Wireless CarPlay Adapter. It does exactly as advertised. You can change from one synced Apple phone to another simply by the push of a button. Change over time is no more than 10 seconds. Thx product works perfectly. If loads easily on start up. I have tried a few an up until now have sent quite a few back that didn’t perform. This is a keeper.

I dont know why I didn’t see any reviews talking about the 3 second audio delay, anyways it Does what it says which is make CarPlay wireless but with a very long audio delay…
