Damon Dash has really matured. I’ve been waiting on this for a while, but its finally here. What sold me on the book was damon’s breakfast club interview and subsequent hip hop motivation videos. Damon Dash produces great convos. I really wish that this was available on apple ibooks, but i copped the paperback and frequently listen to the audiobook on Tidal. I really love the brutal honesty. Hopefully, we see more moves + content from DD— Chris Buck

Excellent book! I do business everyday but this book taught me so much I can’t wait to implement some thoughts and ideas into my current and future businesses. We all need a lost leader when it comes to doing business.

Excellent read! I couldn’t wait for this book to drop. An easy read, I finished it in a few hours. I sure hope there’s a follow up to this title. Dame and Kenyatta contributed a solid piece of work. #ForTheCulture

Great insight, but too much character assassination
The book is an interesting retrospective on Dash's time running Roc-a-Fella and an even more interesting look into his thought process. The overt bashing wasnt really necessary, though. I get Dash's beef with Lyor Cohen, Steve Stoute, and especially Lee Daniels, but airing his grievances throughout the book (and including caricature "mugshots" of everyone he's branded a Culture Vulture) seemed excessive. Reading this on a Kindle was a less than stellar experience, too (the digital version wasn't really designed to display on a Kindle).

Must read for every future mogul!!
This book is a godsend. When you’re new to the industry, you’re bound to make mistakes. This book gives you real life experiences from the industry from two men who have overcome a lot to succeeded in it. Valuable read!

Support the culture
This book is naming names and giving out smacks... Support the culture. Only for real heads! This book has it all. Great photography. The content is well written. To understand what has been done to Hip Hop. You need to read culture vultures.

Dame Dash Magnum Opus and Coined Phrase great read
Excellent and savvy take on Hip Hop and it’s stakeholders and people who manipulate, use and feed of the Black culture and community. A good lesson on how to control our own destiny in Hip Hop, business and life.

Wish it was better written.
Hard to read at times as it is not particularly written very well. It is a shame as Dash is such an interesting character. With a good ghost writer, his story could have been told so well

A must read for anyone entering the music industry.
This is a book only Damon Dash could write, or have the guts to. Honest, blunt, but very necessary.Recommended reading for anyone entering the music industry. If you watch Hip Hop Motivation youll know Kenyatta does a great job of tieing the stories together with great insights from personal experiences that keep the flow going perfectly.Must read!
