Works fine, displays data and errors for 2001 E46
I used BimmerGeeks Standard Tools on a Windows 10 VM on my Dell 5530 laptop running Ubuntu Linux and this cable. Setup was pretty straightforward (using BimmerGeeks 'Install Instructions.txt' file) and was able to connect after a little experimenting. Did not have much luck with the included software disk. The cable switch did not seem to matter on this setup for the E46 (2001 BMW 330Ci), but ended up with the switch to the left looking at the plug with the cable at the bottom. You get some error messages from the software which can be ignored, these threw me at first thinking it was the cable, but turns out things like language or version errors can be ignored, and if you see "no controller response" it means that the part doesn't exist, nothing wrong with the cable. I was able to successfully diagnose, replace and verify the DSC module on my car. Using the software, my engine is an M54 but I had to select M43 since M54 was not an option. For the DSC I selected Chassis, then DSCMK60. Press F1 for info, F4 for errors, and F5 to drill down to wheel sensors, DSC (steering angle, yaw rate, etc) and so on. Some nifty information there from the sensors while driving is pretty cool. All in all, not the greatest software, especially with the annoying language and version errors, but it's usable. Cable is fine, works as advertised and seems to be well made. Would recommend getting it.

Faster than Ali Express
I could of gone to Ali express and ordered $10 and non bimmer geek D-CAN cable but choose Amazon because I needed it now! Although I was hesitant to pay $30 for this cable I can I am satisfied. My old cable stop working and was short which was annoying. This cable is nice and long. It worked great and was able to code my car with INPA and NCS expert. Let’s see how long the cable will last.

Good cable, not so good instructions. Would buy again.
The cable works great but the instructions were not very good and I couldn't get the included software to work on the computer I was using. I used the software at bimmergeeks.com and it worked great!

cant be happier... bricked my DME one time already bc of not knowing what i was doing..but i since then have got it back going and have made a backup on another MS43 DME one is my stock bin (0037) the other is 0069 which is what im running now. i believe 0037 has a little more UMPH in my opinion but i dont wish to fight EWS to pair it back at this time. just google mikes easy BMW tools and youll have all you need. follow the instructions as well. cant go wrong with this cable E46 2001 330ci if anyone is curious. again, flashes DME, modules, works with CARLEY as well!!!!!!!!

Works Perfectly (2008 E90)
I was a bit skeptical to buy a such a cheap cable when reputable brands like bimmergeeks are charging twice as much for the same cable. I used it to code out my adaptive headlights (one of the modules has water damage so they no longer function and it is throwing an annoying error message that won't go away). I did not use the software included on the CD so I can't comment on whether it works or not. But windows 10 found the driver and installed it automatically. NCSExpert connected right up to my car without any issues. No more annoying message about my AHL not working. Plus the 3 year warranty is nice peace of mind.
