Liked it
Alex and Cynthia are perfect for each other. She's too bold by half and he's just the man to rein her in, keeping her from total disgrace. His baggage will lead him a merry chase. It was wonderful to read about the other three couples as well. Eleanor's life is on a new path and Irene shows a lot more spirit than ever before to protect her marriage. Grace and Alex are sprinkled in a bit, separately of course because they're still separated. I can't wait to read their story.Another great tale from the author, only marred by the editing issues evidenced. Quite distracting.

Very Stimulating!
I just wish there was more on the main characters. I wanted more of a story between Wesley and Cynthia. Don't get me wrong. I love guest appearances but I feel that most of this series is centered on Eleanor and Edwin. I'm kind of tired of the ridiculous nature of their "issue", if you can even call it that. I MEAN A DECLARATION OF LOVE should not be drawn out into 4 stories. I love this author but this recurring theme is bordering redundant and ridiculous. Otherwise, the scenes are sexy and the dynamic is hot as hell.

Ongoing story
This is book three in an ongoing story. Hugh and Irene are married and doing well since they've confided their love for each other. Eleanor is still trying to determine if Edwin loves her and becoming more desperate to do so. Wesley meets his ward, Cynthia, and sparks fly. He has to find her a husband or marry her himself. There's discipline in all three relationships.Alex has decided he wants to reconcile with Grace. That's a difficult task since they've both had lovers while living separately. Everything should be resolved in the next book which is the last in the series.

This is a particularly dark sexual fantasy
Patterned after Fifty Shades of Gray, of which I am not a fan, has explicit sexual scenes of female torture that is combined with bouts of pleasure. Wesley, the main focus of this story, has very dark sexual fantasies. He chooses a wife whom he finds a match that will yield to these dark scenes. Well written with a basis good storyline but not my kind of story.

Dowager Countess
That was fun. Cynthia is such a naughty little she-devil. Just the kind of a woman Wesley needs. What I most like about this series is how the stories of all the couples are connected and intertwined. I can't wait to get to Alex and Grace's reconciliation. I bet this will be interesting. And I need to mention the dowager countess - Wesley's mother. She was the star of this book. I really enjoyed her scheming about the wedding plans. Never underestimate a mother who is determined to marry off her son.

Again
Just a note to remind you to read the series. But Eleanor is still waiting for Edwin to declare his feelings for her. She can't tell him how she feels because she's afraid of him rejecting her. Now she's pregnant, so he better hurry! Wesley is finally getting married. Oh, how the mighty have fallen! Irene and High can't keep their hands off each other. Alex has told Grace that he doesn't want a divorce. He wants her back! On to the last book and the conclusion of all these stories. Remember this series is for adults only!

One of my favorite series
The characters in the stories, and their interactions with each other are very well developed so that you know how they appear to others as well as themselves. The sex scenes are the hottest, and each man being so different from each other in looks and personalities, yet each of them becomes the most exciting man with the secrets to every woman's wet dream in the ways they stake their claim over the women they grow to love. I've read the whole series twice and each time find it as exhilarating as the first time. Fifty times hotter than 50 shades. Each book may focus on the lust and love of a different couple, but the characters in previous stories continue to develop. I thought each alpha male was the best, until I'm reading the next book and start to fall in lust and love all over again. Brilliant work. The best erotic spanking historical romance I've read to date ... and I've read many. Thank y our Golden Angel!!!

Different yet
An amazingly told story with love entwined through out, with more than enough to get your motor running,Best enjoyed if you have read the others in the series but if you wish to read it alone you may.If you have read the others in this series then you may think that Wesley and Cynthia have nothing to over come, Edwin and Eleanor (birching his bride) had Eleanor's behavior and Hugh and Irene (dealing with discipline) had to deal with miss placed feelings, while Wesley and Cynthia only need to over come the need to get married. That being said I loved Cynthia I so think it would have been me in the Victorian era if I was born then and her and Wesley are so good together that sometimes a story just needs that.

Could have been good with better proof reading
This would have been much more enjoyable if there had been fewer mistakes in the writing. This was probably the result of using a dictating programme, followed be inadequate proof reading, as the mistakes were usually the result of wrongly placed letters in words which sound similar to the one that was intended. Careful proof reading could easily have corrected this. I felt that, overall, this was not up to the usual standard of Golden Angel.

Such a brilliant series
I can not recommend this series of books too highly. Each one on its own is a great read but when read in order you get to really know the characters and this makes the books brilliant . The first book introduces the reader to Edwin and Nell - the second to Hugh and Irene and the third to Wesley and Cynthia whilst at the same time each book keeps up the stories of the other characters. There's lots of domestic discipline and sizzling sex scenes but it's the emotional interaction between the characters that make these books so good. I can't wait for the next one!

stunning
Loved this sequel, riveting read, couple of niggles re; lack of pregnancies in spite of rampant sex life's AND the little matter of 20 lashes with tawse, I suspect - unless your hugely into BDSM. This form of punishment would be sufficient to render any / some poor chit - incandescent with fear & pain. That aside I totally loved the rakes punishment to miss Bryant ( when she attempted to manipulate him sexually ). Blooming good read.

A cliffhanger
This is the third book in the series and it leaves you hanging. None of the characters stories is finished. The plot is split between the three couples but I really wanted to get the full story of at least Edwin and Eleanor. They started it all in book one and are still not understanding each other. Very frustrating.

Did what it said on the tin
Very good and tied in with the rest of the series well. I liked it enough to consider the rest of the series
