All for one
It is hard to describe this second book of this series. It is several stories about a group of young boyhood friends and their wives in Victorian England. Edwin has married a childhood friend, Eleanor. Her father had asked him to marry her and he agreed. But what Eleanor didn't know was Edwin had been trying to figure out how he could ask. Then there is Eleanor's brother Hugh. He was approached by Irene's parents who was indebted up to their eyes. Hugh had agreed to marry her in exchange for clearing their debt and the land next to his. Then there is Wesley, the forever bachelor who changed mistresses quite often. Finally, Hugh and Irene told each other their feelings for the other. After clearing up a few misunderstandings especially about spankings. Eleanor is in love with Edwin, but won't tell him. She refuses to be like her mother, being left alone in the country. When they get to the healing waters of Bath, Eleanor and her mother have a heart to heart talk about some misconceptions. It leaves her to rethink some hard trurths. In the meantime, Edwin is talking to her father. Growing up, he would ask her father for advice. So, it seemed natural to go to him about his relationship with his daughter. And finally, Wesley meets his hoyden ward. I recommend reading this series from book one forward. You will meet each character through each story in each book. You will follow their progress in each book. Plus, there are loads of disciplines and sex throughout. So, this series is for adults only!

Series of 4 books modeled after Fifty Shades of Gray.
Of the four book series the main male character, Hugh, is the most sensible, kind and loving of the four male leads depicted in the book series. He does render spankings to his wife immediately followed by explicit love making scenes. The low rating is because of so many explicit sexual scenes, some with male dark fantasies being enacted by the male lead from the first book. The writing and storylines would rate much higher.

The saga continues
Book 2 in a series with cliffhangers. Hugh and Irene are figuring each other out and happy for the most part. Eleanor is worried that Edwin will grow tired of her and send her away. She'll become just like her mother pining away for her father after being sent to the country. She wants him to declare his feelings for her without asking. It's hard to say much without spoilers. Neither story is concluded and the next book will mix in Wesley more. There's passion and discipline and plenty of heated discoveries.

2 for 1
The stories of 2 friends that are newly wed. Their spouses get spanked often. They become friends. The marriages have issues but could be worked out by talking. The end is happy.

a fun read
I imagine the spanking could be fun if given the right way, the spankings for discipline not so much! Can’t wait fir Wesley’s book. He’s going ti fall hard when he does meet the ONE!

good smut, good story
This series is pure smut in all its trashy glory but it has a very solid storyline too. Also, the characters are written very well. I actually care for them, which is pretty rare for smut. I like both couples - Edwin & Eleanor's explosive relationship and Hugh & Irene's sweeter one. I'm really looking forward to meet Wesley's naughty ward and Alex's reunion with Grace. I was intrigued by these two from the beginning of the series.

Dealing with discipline
Enjoyed the story, but the end of it left the reader without closure to all the relationships. I'll read on to the next book.

Liked it
Hugh and Irene warm to each other slowly. Things get interesting when she disobeys a direct order. Reminiscent of Delta James' Wayward Mates series without the werewolves, the punishment scenes are very descriptive from the first slap to the last heaving breath. Good story but I have noticed a pattern of poor editing.

Excellent, Excellent and . . Excellent
Exceedingly good. What a treat, combination of love, romance, defiance and alpha male, hedonistic. Best book I've read in a while. Hugh and Edwin were fabulous characters. Love the diversity and the bond between them. This books not to be missed by any reader is likes romance with a bit of backbone. I can't wait to read the next book. It's 3 30am list sleep . . Totally worth it. Five stars could easily be ten!

I enjoyed this very much
I enjoyed this very much. It is a continuation of the first novel in the series and once again concentrates on the conflicting thoughts of each character as the different events take place. I found the writing to be lively and intense. My only criticism is the same as in the first novel that this needs more careful proofreading. There are many grammatical errors and wrongly used words. Pity, as this is excellent writing.

Thoroughly enjoyable
I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was delighted to find more were planned. This continues the engaging story of Nell and Edwin which is fascinating. It also tells the tale of Nell's brother Hugh's marriage. There is lots of passion in this book. The story is cleverly set up for the next episode which I hope won't be too long in coming
