Few things to remember... this will not clear your mucky pond overnight.. if your pond is mucky, then the filters will need cleaning regularly until clarity is obtained, which can take a few weeks, then you can cut back on the cleaning.The backwash really does not work if the filters are heavily clogged up, so you have to take the lid off, remove the filters, get the hose on them and put back in the right order, remembering not to lose the rubber seal around the top. It's worth checking the UV tube as well when you have it in bits, and remember to turn the pump off before hand. Remember also to buy the hose, and a suitable sized pump.After a few weeks, it's all working, clean pond, and no drama.

Brought this filter on the 11 August 2017, the filter broke the 22 Sept 2017! Problem is the filter Keeps tripping my electrics. Replaced the plug and fuse but still happens. Amazon Returns policy ran out on the 10 September. Great filter when it worked cleaned up my pond in days. However expected it to last longer than 42 DAYS.

I inherited a very green 8000 litre pond, couldn't see fish unless at the surface. Once set this filter up I had crystal clear pond in 8 days. I had to open it up and clean it out twice though, backwash feature doesnt seem to do a lot?I've got 3500L/H coming out the out flow of the filter. I read somewhere this filter can take max flow rate up to 7500L/H.

Filter was built by a 1 year old . The o ring on glass tube was trapped in 2 places causing water to get in to u v light and wrecking it . And also blew electrics in house .
