I've always had issues with foil and heat transfer. I tend to burn the top layer and get this awful burning taste while not burning through the lower half of the shisha. Probably user error on my part but this product eliminates all that hassle. Since getting it, I've never experienced burning and it transfers the heat evenly. It's well built and fits my smaller clay bowl. I was worried about the smokes heat due to the lid but there is no heat issue. I've also produced the thickest clouds with this if that's what you're into. I will say the overlap of the lid and the base can be a hassle, especially after having hot coals in it and the metal is untouchable. Also, the rubber handle on the lid gets VERY hot where the metal pokes into the rubber, so make sure to grab the handle by the rear. Overall, great product, I highly suggest buying. Made my smoking experience A LOT better.

It’s great as a charcoal holder but the handle on the lid will get hot and sometimes is hard to grab. I did have a previous one that would not heat up the handle so that’s the only thing I did not like. Other than that it works great..

My previous coal device got a little worn out, so I decided to try this one because it has a lot of positive reviews. Imo the heat management it provides is very poor. You cannot regulate the opening on top, which is essential; so the coals burn too hot. If you remove one coal piece, then the heat is not enough. I also think that the holes on the bottom are also not the best idea, because the ashes fall on your tobacco. Lastly, the handle gets too hot. If all you’ve been doing before is putting coals on the foil, then maybe you would like this upgrade, but for me it’s a failure.
