Does this 15 litre bucket have the food grade symbol on the bottom?

Having consulted Wiki for guidance it says the best way for food safe storage plastic identification is the recycling symbol and since the base of my bucket only has a recycling mark and the makers stamp I had little else to go on. So the recycling symbol number is 05 and its also marked PP which I assume to be Polypropylene which according to Wiki is safe for food.

Is the bucket suitable to store 10 kg rice?

I think so, it is a large bucket and the lid clips in place so should act like an air tight container. I use mine to help store water for gardening, it is a very handy bucket.

Is this heat resistant? Ie for hot oil?

No. Anything hot would make the plastic malleable and unsafe to lift as it would go out of shape. Also it woould be difficult to clean afterwards without spoiling the inside surface for future uses. Also the flange on the lid is very thin - it gives a good seal - but wold spoil near anything hot.
