Used this water filter about 3 weeks, love it. The 6ltr is a nice size not too large. Water tastes great. Quality of of unit is really good, bonus it comes with a stand, others charge £25+ for a stand. They all do the same thing, it's down to the filter really. When I change the filters I'll be getting fluoride removal ones. 5 stars. Great product. Very happy. Would recommend. Great price compared to others.

Here is the context: I am used to survival situations in mountains and the wilderness, when sometimes available water is exhausted and not even brackish water can be found, so hydration requires drinking one's own urine, which is better filtered. Therefore, as a test, a sample of urine was produced and the entire amount sucked through the filter, using the tube attachment. This was done in stages, it taking something like six or seven sucks to get a mouthful of liquid, which was then spat out into a clean glass. This procedure was repeated until all the urine sample was completely depleted. The quantity produced was about half, implying that a lot had been absorbed in the filter charcoal. Ignoring some obvious saliva present in the 'after' sample, it was observed that the colour was less yellow but also greyish, possibly from particles of charcoal coming through. This liquid was tasted and then drunk. The taste was not as strong as neat urine but still tasted slightly of urine, but drank OK. The unit was then rinsed through by sucking through a glass of clean water and then blowing back as instructed, but without collecting it for examination. In a survival situation, anyone suffering dehydration would produce much darker and stronger urine, so this test did not reflect those circumstances. Maybe I should have tried this at the outset, but I didn't, so, in the middle of writing this review, half an hour later, I tried again to suck up a glass of clean water, first blowing through as instructed. It took over 20 strenuous sucks to get the water up the tube to the filter but I failed to get any to my mouth. I diconnected the tube and blew hard into the filter again and some liquid emerged. I can only conclude that the filter expanded when wet and then clogged. I had been keen to see if clean water still came out greyish, but the experiment had to be abandonned. My conclusion is that this product does not compare favourably against our tried and tested portable pump filters that have done many expeditions, they being easy and fast to use. It is also noticed that no claims are made for the level of filtration achieved, like whether or not it would filter to 0.01 micron to elimate most bacteria? I had started this review feeling that the product worked OK, but I have had to change my mind because of serious deterioration in performance at the subsequent attempts to use it. I have down-rated the rating accordingly, as the product sucks. I am aware of other less damning reviews, but wonder if the reviewers had continued trying to use the filter half an hour after the initial use.

I had already bought myself 1 & love it.I did have to find an instruction vid on utube from start to finish, because the instructions with just pics might as well have been for a car part.The filter instructions were equally as awful.However I found from watching another vid it came 2nd to berkys when it came to 3rd party indy testing,which is quite impressive.This was for my son & he put it together no problem.SO I BOUGHT THIS 2ND ONE AS A PRESSIE FOR MY SON'S FAMILY & AMAZON's DELIVERY PERSON, WAS NICE ENOUGH TO DUMP IT IN HIS RECYCLING BIN???CLAIM IT WAS IN A SECURE LOCATION?? TAKE A PHOTO, BUT DIDN'T PUT A CARD THROUGH HIS DOOR.SO AMAZON IF YOU ARE READING THIS, YOUR DRIVERS SHOULDN'T BE ASSUMING THAT THE PERSON BUYING IT IS THE PERSON THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSE,IT'S BEING DELIVERED TO.I DON'T CONSIDER A RECYCLING BIN A SECURE LOCATION.

Filtered water of exceptional clarity.. Made of high quality stainless steel, this filtration system can hold up to several gallons of water and consists of two tanks, an upper tank which has two Carbon filer elements installed and an lower receiver tank which fills with the filtered output. Two taps for choice are provided, an traditional metal affair and a nylon convienance item. The unit is supplied with easy to follow assembly and fitting instructions. The Carbon filtration system is said to filter thousands of litres of safe clean drinking water when in use and it visibly does. as any drawn water held in a glass or similar object when subjected to light will visibly sparkle with the filtered water's exceptional clarity. This is an excellent example of a simple to use water filtration system, an system that not only makes the water look good, but it tastes good too..

Nothing as the description says, very unsteady , filtration not optimal, had to return it

I was dehidrated every day at home due the water being full of chlorine. But at work i drank 3 liters a shift. Work had filtered water so i decided to get this water filter system. One of the best choices i ever made. Everyones drinking habit and health improved in the household. Also looks nice. Lid handle arrived broken but fixed it with superglue. 5 star

I got three of these and I love the simple design. They're easy to use. These can pack up in a really compact way. The stand is stable. The water tastes great out of this. I'm happy with it.

I have an Alexapure water filter system and these new Purewell filters are taller and narrower than my OEM filters. My OEM's were getting long in the tooth, so I decided to take a chance on these. I am glad I did. Fit was perfect...it only had to match the diameter of the holes after all. I followed the instructions and filled up an entire tank of my well water to 'prime/clean the filters. The water was definitely cloudy (as they predicted). The second tank was perfect...crystal clear. I have had my water tested in the past and it passed wonderfully, but it does have some sulfur and other minerals (all beneficial)...and consequently, the color has a slight yellow tint. The old Alexapure filters never fully cleared the yellow out (no biggie to me, tasted great). However, these did make the water clear. How long will it continue to do it, I do not know. But the OEM's never did...so the Purewell's win.

I requested the Purewell Water Filter Replacement for Gravity Water Filter System for use with our Purewell Gravity Water Filter System. These filters fit perfectly and are a breeze to swap out. I find them a little pricey but otherwise, they are perfect!

Great customer service. We bought the Purewell 6 stage 0.01 ultra-filtration gravity water filter system November-2024. We didn’t use it til July-2025. The filters must’ve been bad cause it didn’t filter the water. Water was terrible. I emailed the company and they responded within 24 hrs. They sent us new filters . It works great! Highly recommend!!!
