Still looks GREAT after 3 years
I used ProtectaClear on a brassy bathroom sink that gave me fits with its tendency to tarnish and stain. Cleaning it was living H__. Regular brass/copper/silver polishes wouldn't get it done. I'm ex-military, so I've had lots of practice. The only thing that would clean it up was applying a heavy-duty abrasive, which basically resurfaced it. My bathroom has two identical sinks. On one, I used Sink Wax; on the other, I used ProtectaClear. The wax was a lot better than nothing, but over time, it gave out, and that sink got new, ugly stains all over it. The wax might have worked if I had cleaned that sink and reapplied the wax every few months, but I have a life outside of sink cleaning. The picture shows the ProtectaClear sink after 3 years. It looks exactly like it did the day I applied ProtectaClear. I did go the extra mile on it. I followed the instructions to the letter. I did all the prep. I applied 3 coats. I was careful not to drop anything into the sink to avoid nicking or scratching. I kept a hand towel beside the sink. Every time I used the sink, I wiped it dry. That probably wouldn't be necessary in most cases, but my water is very hard and leaves spots on anything and everything when it dries. ProtectaClear repels water, so a half-second swipe with the towel was all it took. Maybe I didn't need to dry it, but I wasn't taking any chances. The smeared look of the sink surface is the result of having to clean it with abrasives. The ProtectaClear didn't cause that. I just spent two hours cleaning the other sink. (That's par for the course.) I'm about to apply ProtectaClear to it. I strongly recommend NOT buying metal sinks. If you get stuck with one, this is the best solution I've found.

Works well
Works well and easy to apply. Leaves a little rainbow streaking in places but much better that corrosion in the marine environment.

Should do well protecting your metal, just lay it smooth as possible
Used it to protect and coat Aluminum parts under my hood. I can tell it drys to a hard layer. I brushed it on with a foam type bush. When it dried it still left minor brush strokes, but I can live with it.

Pleasantly surprised!
Great sealant. Watch the YouTube for tips on applying the product. This company makes different types of sealants which I will try out in the future thanks to the ease and beauty of this product.

Great for metal, watch out for painted areas.
I used this to protect the shine one the brightwork of my classic car. Polished aluminum and stainless steel look great! The finish can be somewhat fragile and flake off if you are not careful. My brightwork had painted areas. I did one last topcoat to seal in the black paint of the checker work and this product is not compatible with spray paint, so test first. It caused wrinkling and lifting in painted areas. Also, although it says it is self leveling, it did leave flow marks and occasional bubbling with a foam brush.

Seals metals and stops oxidation
I make coin rings and other coin-centric jewelry. And, if you’ve ever worn copper, you’re likely aware of the green residue around your copper adorned skin. This product is an excellent way to protect against corrosion and stops residue from getting on your skin. As a skin safe sealant, you’ll enjoy your copper jewelry for years and years. I usually apply two coats- waiting an hour between coats, and waiting a couple days to ensure full curing although the items can be handled after an hour of application. The sealant can be applied other materials needing a clear protective seal against fine scratches and leaching and to maintain its original shine/patina. Final coating is not brittle and has some flexibility. See the application types and directions on the can. Use in a well-ventilated area and read the safety information. PPE recommended.

Do not buy this product. It peels right off after just a month.
First- this company and product seem very scammy to me. I purchased a copper sink sealing kit from their website, completed the process on my end, then never heard a word from them. I got on their live chat about a week later, because I had received no order confirmation email or shipping notification or anything, and wanted to know what the status was because i was so anxious to seal my kitchen sink. Thankfully I had taken a screenshot of my order screen when I submit it, showing that the order was processing because they claimed they never received my order. The live chat agent was not helpful at all. A couple days later I received an email from the president of the company saying they’d give me free shipping if I ordered again, but by then I had already purchased this on Amazon and it was on the way. I had already waited too long and wanted to get my dang sink sealed stat. As soon as it came in, I got to work. I followed their instructions for restoring and sealing a copper sink to a T. I watched the video on their site multiple times, and had the step-by-step instructions printed out. I’m a former professional cabinet painter so I am familiar with the process of refinishing and sealing things but still wanted to do it by their book since I hadn’t dealt with copper before. It took me an entire day start to finish, and I did 3 coats of the sealer, waiting 2 hours between coats and hitting them with heat on and off during the dry time. I turned off the water and taped up the faucet and sprayer so we wouldn’t use the sink and so nothing would drip out, and kept it that way for 2 weeks so it could fully cure. 2 weeks of doing dishes in our tiny bathroom sink. Once it was cured we started gently using it again, making sure to wipe it dry after each use so there was not standing water in it. We have done everything right, and have been so gentle with our sink since we started using it again. Today is day 33 since sealing and when I went to dry the bottom of the sink after wiping it clean with dish soap and warm water (we use gentle, non-toxic products- no harsh chemicals) a small piece started lifting near the drain area. That’s when I started taking pics and the video. It peeled off like tape. At this point I hope I can use denatured alcohol or something to get the rest off and start my search for a copper sealer that actually works. (Open to recommendations!) I love a bright shiny copper- I appreciate tarnish and patina, just not in my kitchen sink. This product seemed to be the perfect fix and it looked wonderful for 32 days, but now I have a disaster to deal with, trying to fix what this product has done to my sink. Save your money and don’t buy this awful scam of a product.
