I'm not sure what the negative reviews are for cause this is a VERY high quality product. I was expecting some cheap Chinese garbage for the price but everything about it says otherwise. The fit and finish is really high quality and it has lots of little details like rubber feet for indoor use. You can really tell they put of a lot of thought and care into the design process. Also the company does some really cool stuff you don't normally see in modern electronics: You DON'T need an email to create an account to use the camera which is really really appreciated. It just works so easily with the app. And it gives a lot of nice info like bitrate and such, but only if you go to advanced options which is nice. Also the image quality is really good. It has all the features I wanted: (optical zoom (not just digital), outdoor weather-proof, very easy to use, 4k, wifi 6!, 360degree motion, can look above horizontal, not just at the ground,and best of all no subscription service!!!

I have tried many cameras over the years and originally was told that these won't work with BlueIris but later found out they do. I have switched almost all my older cameras over to these now. I wish the optical zoom was more but otherwise happy with the quality, connection and value. These are pretty easy to setup and with the app on the computer or phone can be easily adjusted. I have realized that if I set the presets in the camera app and then import them into BlueIris this seems to work better. I had issues of setting the preset in BlueIris especially the zoom. There are several models PEO, Wireless, and several different resolutions. I made the mistake twice of buying one that I thought was the same and a good price just to find out it wasn't and was lower image quality or didn't have optical zoom etc. I wish the naming of these was better so you knew exactly what you were getting without having to look through all the specs.

I have been using these cameras for livestream monitoring of barn owls as part of my research, and they have performed really well. Our local community loves to see the footage from these cameras, and it takes up a good portion of my day watching the owls too! Setup was straightforward, with clear instructions that made the process easy to follow. Once installed, everything connected smoothly and the app interface has been intuitive and easy to navigate. The video quality is excellent. The image is very clear and high resolution, which is important for observing behavior in detail. I also like how easy it is to adjust the camera angle, zoom, and focus directly from the app, along with changing other settings as needed. One feature I really appreciate is the support for RTSP and RTMP streaming. It makes it possible to connect the cameras to external platforms like YouTube and other streaming services, which is incredibly useful for live monitoring and sharing footage in real time. These have also held up well outdoors over several weeks in different weather conditions, which has been great to see. Overall, these have been reliable, easy to use, and deliver great image quality. They have worked very well for my needs. I hope to see them continue to hold up over time!

Rated 5 stars so you will SEE this review. It really rates no stars. This camera will not remember any set time zone other than Bejing+8. NTP time update works fine but camera reverts to china time 2 to 10 minutes after time zone camera setup is changed. No matter if camera setup time zone is changed via app or browser interface. No matter if camera is totally isolated from internet access. No matter if all time parameters are manually entered and saved. No matter if the camera is totally isolated. I have two of these cameras and the problem is the same on both. I use static assigned IP addresses on a wired connection. The camera software still indicates an active WiFi connection even though they have no second MAC address registed on the DNS server. This problem has been detailed via trouble ticket to Reolink. After three rounds of emails they have no solution other than sheepish appologies and offers of more cameras to try. I have hidden the time OSD. Better nothing than Peking time! Dont count on this camera for serious surviellance setups. It is 8MP and may not work with older NVRs; speaker and mic work fine. Alarm and motion sensing untested since this camera could not be used for legal evidence submission. Vendor has no plans to update the firmware only offering two obsolete versions. I am a professional technician. UPDATE 2-1-2026 Latest firmware released today fixes the Peking time issue. Camera now retains local timezone and stays set that way. 5 weeks after initial complaint Reolink came through! 3-19-26 Update. After 3 months use of 3 cameras on two nvr systems I have had zero reboots. All cameras accepted DST changes flawlessly. Excellant video quality. ONVIF interfacing is only average. PTZ works great. Invoking a memorized preset is problematic with most NVRs even tho the reolink app recalls them fine. Setting PTZ presets, exclusion zones, and time sync from NVRs doesn't work. The cameras will not snapshot/email motion alarms via NVR settings and insist on direct internet interface upload even though NVR logs the alarm event. You must use the app for all configuration changes. The browser interface lacks many needed configuation options particularly regarding exclusion zones. The app motion/person exclusion zone configuration language is confusing. The excluded area is defined by the greyed out area and the included area is clear. These cameras are a good value but allow a lot of time to get them configured. Documentation is poor, app is confusing, tech support is terrible.

It has a very wide viewing area. Images at night are a bit dull. Overall a good camera.

Installation was quick and the mobile app makes it easy to check live footage anytime. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can see who is at the door even when I’m not home. Overall, it’s a reliable and useful device that I would definitely recommend.

The camera is feature full without a need to pay a subscription. Great quality and awesome price.

I have this camera mounted above my front door and really like how it can identify people and animals, seperate from basic motion. Our house is well elivated from the road, and the PTZ feature lets me swivel it around and look out over the neighbourhood and roadway. Update - I've now bought a 2nd one of these to cover a different part of my property. Really like this camera!

Initial Impressions: This is a great little camera ! Wanted to add a camera, but didn't want to introduce my aging NVR to 12MP. This thing works great indoors too, with 3x optical and auto tracking, I might have to consider one for indoors. A must to consider. I don't think any other members of the E1 family have this wired Ethernet capability. BIG notice though. The Ethernet port is awesome to take devices off WiFi, but its Ethernet only. Not POE. So, its not a substitution for an existing POE camera. Gotta run power. That's about it for my initial impressions. Very satisfied for my needs.
