Excellent size, magnetic hold, quality of foam, and color distinction!
This is a great set! The entire back area of each letter is covered with the magnetic layer and the letters stick very well to our magnetic dry-erase board while still being easy to move by my 4 year old but not too easy that they fall off upon being touched. They really work perfectly and the foam front of each letter is not wimpy in any way. They are as firm as any foam letter can possibly get. The color distinction for vowels is wonderful in helping kids visually learn vowels over consonants. Having each letter in multiples is also a great plus. You do get 4 of each letter... with 4 y's total, 2 in red and 2 in blue so that kids can learn how y can sometimes act like a vowel and be considered one at times. We post one full set of the alphabet at the very top of our 18x24 magnetic dry-erase board and the vowel sets below those, followed then by all the extra letters... lining them up one letter group after the next. Our kids really enjoy learning new words and word families using this board and letter set. I would highly recommend it for any parent wanting to help their little ones learn spelling as it allows for visual, tactile, and (through the voice of the parent teacher) auditory learning to take place all at the same time... which makes it easier for kids to absorb what is being taught. We couldn't have been happier with this purchase!

Fridge Letters
We purchased these letters to put on our fridge. We have found that our kids enjoy playing with them (ages 2 and 4) and trying to create words. It is also a great way to start conversations on letters and components of words!

Great Set of Letters
After owning this set for about 2 years I'm buying it again, not because the letters are worn but because my kids want to make even more words with them. My kids are starting to form sentences, and even though there are ample quantities of each letter (4 I think), they need more letters because they are getting older and are able to form more complex words and sentences. I found that these letters are extremely durable, except when the puppy or a teething baby got ahold of them, and then the foam part of the letter would become mangled but the magnet would stay mostly intact. However, I felt much safer with these letters around young children, babies, and dogs, than other sets, because the magnet is the entire size of the letter and is attached very well, so it has never come off and created a choking risk. Since magnets are particularly dangerous for children or babies to swallow, and the magnets would sometimes fall off our other letter set, which was made out of cheap, plastic letter-magnets, I threw that set away and only use these. I also appreciate that all the letters are the same color, except for the vowels and consonants being different colors, because young children who are just learning their letters have a hard enough time keeping them straight without confusing them by making the letters all different colors. I can't figure out why so many children's toys are multi-colored, because I find it distracting. Thank you for designing these!

... magnet these are grossly overpriced HOWEVER they are the best magnetic letters out there
For foam and a thin magnet these are grossly overpriced HOWEVER they are the best magnetic letters out there. They stay in place and they are a simple and easy to read font for beginning readers. A little larger than the typical plastic letters and really easy for little hands to manipulate.

Perfect Learning Letters for Grade School
I liked the color coding for vowels & consonant , which enhances their learning experience. I purchased them as a donation to my Granddaughter's teacher. She is teaching the 1st graders spelling by using cookie sheets and the letters. I bought 3 sets, which was enough for 12 students. Seems like this is a much more fun way to learn how to spell in 1st grade.

Great Product
These Learning Letter are perfect for the classroom. I use these for whole group and small group lessons. I like that the vowels and consonants are different colors so the students can see how words are made. I highly recommend these to teachers and parents who want to help their children learn how to read and spell.

Love these - but not enough vowels in the pack
We love these. They are great for spelling out words and sentences on the refrigerator. I love how Montessori they are as well with the vowels in red and the consonants in blue. They even have a blue y and a red y. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because there aren't enough vowels. There are way too many q's, z's, and x's in my pack, but not enough vowels to really be creative and write whatever you like. I have no clue what to do with all these extra q letters when there aren't enough u's to make more than two q words. Overall, I like this product, I just would need two sets to have enough vowels to really start writing and spelling with my son with real freedom.

Muy buenas para niños con dislexia. Las vocales son rojas y las consonantes azules. Son perfectas para ayudarles a diferenciarlas cuando están aprendiendo a leer. Además son blanditas y la textura es agradable al tacto.

these area great. I am a qualified teacher providing private tuition and use these a lot. I was initially going to get a set with the long vowel phonemes as one unit however I decided that, as pupils have to write individual letters to make the phoneme, it was better to have all sounds as single units. This ensures that the child actively thinks which two letters make the specific phoneme or consonant blend and therefore assist more with writing words. Very tactile and the vowels being in read makes it easy to locate and distinguish from consonants. I much prefer these to the multicoloured sets which children often find confusing. The only downside is that you really need two magnetic boards, one for the letters displayed on and another to make the words on as they are a bit larger than the cheaper shiny plastic letters. Having said that, it is only a small negative compared to all the positives. There are plenty of letters to make words with double consonants and vowels and then make further words. Great for use on a fridge or similar so children get up and moving during the session and can then practice on their own at home informally.
