Genuine HOTPOINT Replacement 2000 Watt 2 Turn Fan Oven ELEMENT - C00084399

Greta item, really easy to fit, after a quick 2 minute online video tutorial. Saved me hundreds of pounds on having to buy a replacement cooker. This is the second one i have purchased for the cooker, they seem to last about 2-3 years, so not too bad as our cooker is used every day.

Easy to fit, but turn off oven at the consumer unit check by turning on control knob, the warning lamp for oven etc should NOT be lit, remove the 4 screws securing the fan cover, then the 3screws securing the element, disconnect the wires noting where they go,start by fitting the cables to the new element then refit everything in reverse order of disassembly. Switch power back on at consumer unit, next reset the clock if one is fitted or it may not start the oven. Excellent product, easy to install, element cost me half as much as I was quoted by a local domestic appliance store to supply one. Very quick service, delivered next day. It is much easier to do the job if you can remove the oven door first as it is quite a stretch as I found out.

Fitted this to a Jan 2010 Hotpoint EW74P cooker which suddenly stopped heating the main/ bottom oven without warning with no visible cracks or breaks in the element (original element used almost every day for over 14 years). This part is the same 2000w spec and physical size as the broken element I replaced. Everything is working as it should, tested by taking the temp up in stages making sure the light went off at each temperature, all is good. Great price and an easy fix.....much cheaper than getting an engineer out. If you had to go down that route £30 and the part would be plenty, it's a 10 mins job, don't be getting ripped off.....it's 4 screws on the cover, 3 screws on the element and 2 push on spade terminals. **** The wires are very short and can easily fall in through the hole they come through, I used a small bulldog/bag clip on each to hold them in place. *** Make 100% sure the POWER IS OFF at the switch or main fuse.... clock etc should be off and not visible***

Worked in my indesit ID 6340 IX. Fitted minutes and heated to the correct temperature rapidly. Can't ask for much more.
