Works well

Finally got these installed on the pool and so far they have worked well for us. We have a 21’ pool and are able to roll our solar cover up and place it easily in the arms. I wish there was a different alternative to drilling into the pool ledge, I’m not sure if I will be happy with this decision in a few years, but we needed a solution and gave these a try. Because there’s a few of them, it is holding the cover easily so we are happy to have a place to put it.

These pool cover holders and their brackets are painted steel, which will eventually rust without re-painting occasionally. It never claimed otherwise, but it also never indicated what it's made of.The bolts and nuts are stainless steel, so any rust that does develop will be below deck at least.The primary goal is to keep the cover off the grass - necessary if you don't want the grass to die from overheating in the sun, and helping keep the cover clean.As advertised the big advantage of these hooks over others is that the hook is one continuous bend, and not a series of pieces to be assembled. This reduces the likelihood of damage to the cover as there are no edges to rub against when moved into or out of the holder.The tube and brackets are heavy duty, large, and will hold a lot of weight, so a solar cover, net, and winter cover could easily fit and still have room to hang towels and pool toys.Unfortunately they don't swivel sideways, so once installed they stick out from the edge of the pool 24" all the time - which makes yard maintenance around the pool much harder. I'll be installing my brackets at an angle so the hooks stay closer to the pool, but I would rather have a swivel built into the bracket so when not in use they swing in and hug the side of the pool.Overall if you have the space for them they're going to be useful, and they are worth the cost. Spending a little more for aluminum hooks and brackets, or ones that swing out of the way when not in use, though, might be worthwhile for most people.

So I get that this is made to work on several styles of pools but at least send some shorter bolts instead of the really long ones. And have the hex heads and nuts be either standard or metric instead of some off size as the cheap wrenches are useless. The included allen wrench would not even fit half the bolts. Lets hope it holds up.After installing, I had to remove the brackets and add a wood block underneath the pool edge to help keep them from bending and twisting when the cover was on. Again not sure what others have done but with the steel top rails, the brackets are not very sturdy unless shored up with something else. You get what you pay for I guess

I got these to go with my pool cover so I didn’t have to store it on the ground or drag it to a safe place. They sit on the side of the pool and seem sturdy. I am using a generic 18 ft pool cover and it seems to hold it just fine. It’s easy to drag the cover off and right in to the loops. It went from a 2 person job to a 1 person job.

I ordered this for my in-laws above ground pool and it is definitely sturdily constructed and will hold any weight of pool cover.It's made of tubular steel and includes all neccessary hardware for installation./However, be aware that you'll need a drill and you'll have to drill mounting holes into the top of your pool -- some people may not be either able to do that, or comfortable doing so.?It was no problem for me because I do that kind of stuff all the time and my inlaws didn't mind having holes drilled in their pool so we went for it and it works just as advertised.It's a convenient way to store your pool cover in an easily accessible place where it's easy to replace the cover on top of the pool.For the price it's a good value and does what it's supposed to do.
