A truly wonderful documentary with scenes of breathtaking beauty, in crystal-clear image quality. The rough seas and huge breakers of North Atlantic, the amazing colors of Caribbean coral reefs, the epic wildlife spectacle of South Georgia and the Falklands, the stunning hunting behavior of killer wales, plus some never before filmed footage of the ocean's abyss, make this one of the most interesting series that I have ever watched - and I have seen a lot! I am truly amazed by the negative review about narration. So unfair! The narrator's voice is warm and evocative and the descriptions are perfectly adequate and detailed. Yet another of BBC natural history gems!

Excellent cinematography, and measured, fluent commentary by Cillian Murphy. There are creatures and climatic events never before filmed.

This documentary on the Atlantic Ocean, consisting of three episodes, is truly spectacular. The photography is excellent revealing all the beauty of underwater sea life. The storyline is highly educational where we learn of the behavior of living organisms, how they hunt for food, protect themselves from predators, reproduce and care for their young. The photographers must have been very patient at times to get film some sequences. The colour of life under the sea is truly beautiful. I just love intelligent entertainment! Thank you.

I have dived to observe the wildlife so that any very well filmed programme that shows the marvels of beneath the surface of the sea is very welcome. These three films, each showing a very interesting aspect of the Atlantic are riveting viewing. I am in awe of what has been filmed and appreciate the patience that has been needed to produce such amazing sequences. These are films that deserve to be seen several times since the wildlife shown are memorable I particularly loved the sequences filmed on South Georgia of the penguins and fur seals since this brought back many happy memories of the time spent watching wildlife in this location. I cannot rate these films too highly since I found them excellent and my only regret is that some of the sequences could have been longer..

Once again, the BBC demonstrates that it is in a class of its own when it comes to producing incredible natural history programmes. Outstanding camera work. Excellent narration.

The DVD would not play and the supplier wouldn't take it back. Give this supplier a pass!
