I don’t usually write reviews specially anything negative of any product . I value our farmers their products and the providers. This particular product should not be in the market to sell . If I had known I would never order this RICEI bought it to make at a special event in my house. Luckily my sister was in town and was present when it was deliveredBecause she had that same product and was trashed it the same day she made it She was right. I cooked a few ounces just to try on before my event I was glad I did. I cannot find no words to describe neither the smell nor the taste.Terrible. I just did as my sister. TRASHED $25.00 + this product should definitely removed from Amazon

I could not find this anywhere where i live so o decided to order it from amazon and im so glad i did!! Yes it’s expensive but it was worth it now for the people complaining about the smell , thats how you know its du riz shella from Haiti i felt bad seeing people give it a bad rating for the smell so i had to write a review. Du riz jaune from Haiti almost ALWAYS have this smell and the strong taste and yes the black things tuat someone saw are rocks you have toClean it before washing it. Its a process its not basmati rice so yea

I was really excited to support this product. When I got it and cooked it, I could not get past the smell. It was strong, repugnant, and filled the house. The taste was fine, but none of us could get past the smell. Perhaps it was supposed to smell this way, but I could not pull myself to eat something with such a foul odor. No thanks.

This is an organic rice. The smell makes it authentic. Many Haitian-American do not like the smell unfortunately. You may wash it with lemon to cut out the smell. This rice tastes good mixed with beans. It is very expensive in Haiti and this rice is served in all high end hotels and restaurants in Haiti. Please Amazon, keep selling it to authentic Haitian. I am going to purchase some more. Thank you!
