Security Chain Company's tire chain installation gloves were designed for harsh weather conditions to make chain installation quick and easy. Made of heavy duty, thick, waterproof material so hands stay warm and dry.

Snow cable changing gloves should keep you clean
I just bought my first set of snow cables and I decided to test them out before I actually got into any snow. While I was test fitting the cables my hands and arms got very dirty from the dirt and brake dust that was on the wheels/tires. I did a little research and found these on the internet. The upper part is made out of a nylon type of material rather than cotton cloth which makes it easier to wipe clean. The lower portion is made out of a woven material (cotton or cotton blend) and has a rubberized coating on the palm/fingers to make them somewhat water proof. Now keep in mind the rubberized material only covers the palm and inside portion of the fingers and does not cover the entire hand like a dish washing glove. But for my needs (some water proofing for grabbing wet cables) which are mainly to keep my hands and arms clean they work fine. I am 5'7" and wear a medium size work glove and these fit but are a little snug (which I prefer so they don't bunch up). Overall good to have in the snow cable bag to use when you need to put the cables on.

C-C-Cold Fingers!! One Size Does NOT Fit All
Wow! Great concept of gauntleted gloves BUT! They are so snug and stiff they restrict circulation in your fingers and man do your fingers feel the cold!!! I took them off, warmed my fingers in my parka and finished the install bare handed with much less discomfort!!!

Little womans
Poor size. If it was my wife putting on the tire chains they might be pretty good, but that will never happen. Fingers are really short and about a size 6. Not coming close to a size 10 glove.

Well designed gloves for a specific purpose.
Others have complained about size as in too small. I typically buy large gloves (men) and most larges fit me fine. These gloves are no different. I am sure there are men with larger hands and would have a hard time using them but for me they are fine. Because they fit so well and have the rubber grip surface on the fingers and palm they definitely help with chain installation and keep me from getting dirty.

Glovs are very small
Gloves are very small and give a very too tight feeling. I don't have large hand by any means and it a tight fit for me. The gauntlet aspect of the gloves is very cool and seems like it would work well to keep snow and gunk off your clothes. The grip texture on the hand print side of the gloves is very gripy and tacky.

The best tire chain gloves that I could find
These gloves are a NECESSITY for installing and removing tire chains. They come standard with the SCC/Peerless's Z-Chain, but most of their other chains include them. Neither do Konig or the other chain companies. I always buy an extra pair of these. They keep your hands, arms, and clothes clean as you install or remove chains.

Seems good quality
Gloves seem to be off good quality. Pack the pair together with the snow cables except husband went with the cheap plastic freebie one that came with the bag. Didn’t get to try this nice pair.

Awesome, just won't keep your hands warm while using
Worked really well when I had to use them to put on our snow chains on our way to Big Bear. They kept my hands clean. The only thing was that my hands were cold since it was probably less than 20 degrees outside and there is no insulation, just grip.
