Excellent spin on wedge shots, great feel
I have been very impressed with this ball, I even had my playing partners remark on the backspin I was getting with my wedges last time out. I’m a high handicapper presently having just re-taken the game up after a ten year break and they perform well for longer shots with my currently (after only six rounds back at it) middling swing speed of approx 85-90 with the driver. The yellow colour is very bright - much easier to see in the air AND for finding in the rough should your tee shot strat that way as mine are doing more than I would like presently.I was worried that these balls would only suit a low handicap player but having used them out on the course they are fantastic and definitely spin a little more on approach shots for me than the Q-star tour balls, it’s not night/day different but it is noticeable. The cover is very soft and does mark up a bit after a gritty bunker shot but not to the point of making the ball unusable.Definitely recommend!

Good quality ball
It has great distance, soft feel and easy to control. I would say it’s very good value for money.

Great set of balls, justifying the price
Srixon, a sister company of Dunlop, are quite well established in golf balls with some of the tour pros now using the top of the range balls on the male and female circuit. This fills me with confidence that these, which are some of the best in the Srixon range of balls, are going to deliver - and they haven't disappointed. Srixon cover the whole range from sets from around £15 to £35-40, so you can see what sort of level of ball you are getting. There's a comprehensive description of who these are aimed at - intermediate level players and beyond and they're classed as a tour level ball. I'm not going to argue with that - they feel and look good, the product is really nicely packaged and the price seems about right for a quality set of balls - I just hope I don't lose them too quickly in the rough and get the use out of them that they deserve. My father-in-law was also roped in to try these out as he gets more golf time than me and he also reports positively, saying that they are far better than the balls he normally buys, and so that'll be another new customer for these balls.5 stars from me. Pricey set of balls compared to some but the price of a good round (and helping get the handicap down) is almost priceless.

Great premium ball. Good touch and spin
Surprised by this ball. It feels nice off the face. Good feel, not too hard, and a nice sound.A lot of spin around the green. So much so I found myself spinning off the green sometimes. Good distance too, although not noticeably longer than other balls. Perhaps because I have been playing in the cold though so will try again in the summer.Great alternative to the Pro v1

Pro quality and a good price
These are top of the range. Even for an amateur like myself, it makes such a difference to play with the right kit. It’s not just about the technique, although it helps a great deal. Here I am really spoilt though. The golf balls come in packs of three in a branded cardboard box that screams quality product. Designed to be the best for green side spin, there is a comparison table on the side of the box evaluating, like a guide, the performance between the different types of Z-star balls which is really useful. These Srixon Z Star 8 premium golf balls have been designed to be used for greenside spinning. The compression is high enough to get the distance whilst retaining the feel to control the strike. These are designed to have good control and stopping power and I do like the bright yellow colour - essential to find - no need for me to use the numbering : ) although it is always handy if a few are using the same golf balls. At £41.43 at the time of writing this review, this box of 12 balls is a reasonable cost for pro-quality.
