I used the VANDESAIL JST SM 2-Pin connectors (40 pack) for wiring my LED strips and overall it’s been a fantastic buy. The quality of the connectors is solid — the plastic housings feel durable rather than brittle, and the locking tabs snap in firmly so there’s very little risk of accidental disconnection. Every male/female pair fit together cleanly with a satisfying click, and there’s no wobble or looseness. The included wires are 22 AWG, which is sufficient for most LED strip setups (though I wouldn’t push them for extremely high current without checking specs). The insulation feels decent, not ultra premium but good for moderate handling. Using them was convenient: since they’re prewired, I didn’t have to solder anything — just strip, insert, and lock. The connectors make modular installations much faster and cleaner, especially when I need to section off LED runs or make custom lengths. For performance, I haven’t noticed any voltage drop or flickering in my LEDs (over several meters of strip), so electrical continuity is solid. The set includes 20 male and 20 female connectors, which gives me a lot of flexibility for future projects. Considering the price, this pack delivers excellent value, especially compared to buying single connectors or making your own wiring every time. If you work with LED lighting or DIY electronics, this connector set is a smart, reliable choice.

Great set of connector leads for standard pixel lights. Fit perfectly and seem be of the same gauge wire as the LED wires themselves. Easy click to install. Easy solder connections to your power supplies and signal outputs. Great number of plugs for the money. No issues so far.

I used this for a small little project of mine - tweaking a USB desk light so it's control pad used different buttons. To make connecting and moving the project around a bit easier, I actually used these connectors to put everything together - they *mostly* work, but I find that wiggling the wires causes the LED to flicker. Noticed this not happening with some wires but not all... These are great in a pinch, when you are prototyping or learning how to build certain projects, but I'd say they aren't the best for any serious work. Quality might vary a bit more than you'd like.

I purchased these connectors for low current LED lighting as part of my minivan camper build. Connectors are working as expected.

Great little connectors for your small electronics products. Twenty pairs of connectors with locking clips to keep the connections from being pulled apart. Wires are pre-tinned (on the ends) and the leads are about 3 1/2" long. Feels like PVC coating on the wires. Good quality, I'll definitely order these again.

This was the first time I received JSTs in the package and a couple of them were wired backwards. Because of this, I had a short in my wiring, the magic smoke escaped my project and I fried a microcontroller. Just double check your wires and make sure that the wiring on all these plugs are the same before you use them! Other than that, the plugs are fine, they all fit together and the ends are tinned which is nice.

These really saved the day for me.. i was able to replace a broken connector on my 4th brake light for my FRS/86. Highly recommend, and yes you can de-pin them if you have the right tools.

Perfect replacement plugs for the plugs used in former Aristo Craft and USA Trains large scale trains. Destroyed insulation on several, when locomotives derailed! Also works for slicing power pick up from locomotive trucks. Want to splice a few between several locomotives, to improve the electrical pick up across 2 or more locomotives. As well as add them between a set of lighted passenger cars.

I used these connectors for wiring lighting on a G-scale train layout. The wires were a little thinner than I had hoped, but they were the correct polarity compared with wires I had purchased many years ago from a hobby shop (so no rewiring was required!). There was also one connector missing, making only 19 functional pairs, but the seller resolved the issue quickly. Overall I would still recommend the connectors as they are hard to source locally (at least for me) and so far they are working just fine. The connectors are exactly as pictured by the seller, so note the polarity if that may be an issue for you. The wire appears to be about 22 gauge. It is stranded, but the ends are tinned so they don't fray, making them easy to work with (although the exposed ends are short). All the connectors clicked together without issue and were solid. A good product at a good price.
