Phenomenal product
Item did exactly what it was supposed to perfectly and hassle free. I was definitely surprised on how it removed the rivets without having to use a punch or pliers. One tip though , if you are removing more than one rivet clean the tool as the heads accumulate after removal. I removed 12 rivets in approximately 2 minutes without ruining the surface.

Improper Design bdv
I wanted to love this tool. Might work on Soft Aluminum PopRivets if you are fast and lucky, but for anything more this tool is improperly designed. I had to return the first tool as the case was broken and the tool had looked like it had been used. Second one looked much better and I was amazed that the case was not again broken as the plastic shipping sleeve offered no protection to the contents inside. WHAT IS WRONG with this tool, well for one the design is improperly machined for the task at hand. The thread on the grip and cap at the bottom of the tool is right hand thread. Because of this any torque whatsoever even with maximum pressure holding the tool against the rivet and both rivet and tool will turn. This is unacceptable as because it is upside down and right hand thread the tool comes apart. (A Lock washer may help and I will try that later but as provided this tool will unscrew the minute the torque is enough to unscrew it. With left hand thread at the bottom the torque would actually tighten the tool, but it doesn't have that) The only way this tool will not fail is if working on a pop rivet and even then only if the rivet is tight and won't turn on its own are you going to have success. I'm not returning this tool as it is a reminder to myself and service to others by taking one more of these out of circulation. If the manufacturer were to change the design and put left handed thread for the parts on the bottom of the tool it would work properly and not fall apart. Okay so for ease of use this tool is unusable. Value for the money No not in the current configuration as the tool is improperly designed mechanically. Look well maybe that is where it gets one star as it does look like it will do the job. Size well there again there could be a little more grip area but the tool will not work as designed. No I will not buy this again and NO DO NOT BUY AS I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS Faulty tool. bdv

It does work once you figure it out.
While it's true you can just use the appropriate drill bit and start drilling out the head, where this tool is very helpful is that once fine tuned for the operation and a little hand pressure, it will prevent the rivet from spinning while you are drilling out the head preventing damage to the surface beneath. The piece of shank that remains in the material can be knocked out with a punch if required. Now the bad news: There are absolutely no instructions, which explains some of the problems people have posted. I watched many online videos from competitors to figure out the proper operation as I'm a novice using and removing pop rivets. It worked wonderfully, but if you are not the least bit mechanically inclined and don't readily understand how things fit/work together, then you better do a boat load of research to understand how this works. Adjusting the depth of penetration for the drill bit is a must for this to work properly. I did get it sorted, but it took some experimentation before I figured out the proper adjustment. I would have rated this 5 stars if the company had just provided a link to an excellent video that carefully showed how to make the necessary adjustments along with disassembly/assembly.

Works great.
Works just like they should.

Over complicated
It’s over engineered. You can simply drill rivets out. That’s basically all this does. The first time I used it the outer rivet-guide piece came off and is lost making the whole tool useless.

Had high hopes
Reallly had some high hopes for this tool, removing rivets and quickly as possible rather than a portable grinder. When we used the tool either the rivet heads are too hard/ flat. The head just movers off the head of the rivet. Need a pilot divot for the drill to grab. When dealing with road signs that were done by contractors and their rivets. Trying to replace signage takes forever when you either have to hammer n chisel or wheel grind off the heads for 3,000 signs Hoping we can finagle something to help
