TFA 47.1001 Rain Gauge

Exact replacement. With clearer markings

Sturdy and well marked rain guage. Purchased to replace an old one that my grandson broke with a football. This rain guage is handy as a basic and has a little rim that can be turned as it is marked and numbered to enable rain to stay in it to see how much it is increasing in depth over a week or month. There is no stem with the guage though, to would need probably and appropriate sized length of dowel or similar to place it on. I had the old stem so was able to use that. Without a stem, I would have just placed the actual guage into the flower bed by pushing the base into the soil. It is better on a stem though. Happy with my purchase and cheap enough if it lasts as long as the previous one I will be happy.

Bought this along with a weathervane for my husband's new hobby. The picture on the web-site shows it attached to a fence but there are no attachments to actually do this so a little ingenuity is required. So far no rain - amazing - so can't actually check it out.

This rain gauge was very easy to mount - I put it on an old broom handle. It is very clear and easy to read and I would happily recommend it.

Clear to read, easy to fix, useful dial to remember how much rain before emptying out. Sturdy.

Fitted mine on an old fluorescent bulb planted in a bush to keep it straight. Large capacity, so copes with a very heavy shower. Large markings easy to read, and the rim adding ring is a nice feature - simple, but effective!

It does the job very well but I would have liked a bracket to fit it on the fence so it was up out of the way

Arrived well packaged. Plastic appears sturdy and looks good quality. Designed for putting on a pole but just drilled a hole through the support and fixed with a screw to a shed. Time will tell but at this stage happy with purchase.

Wrklich ein gutes Produkt, absolut robust. Gut ablesbar und sehr wetterfest. Hat jetzt schon einige Jahre absolviert und ist immer noch in einem Top-Zustand.

Regnmätaren är gjord av betydligt tjockare plast än min gamla. Tror att den kommer hålla länge.

Dobra jakość i wykonanie, jedynie pudełko przyszło trochę pogniecione.

You can see how much rain fell from a distance. Much better than some other more expensive gauges. Excellent value for the money.
