I bought two of them side handles very good quality sturdy feels nice when you grip them. Did feel comfortable? Good quality very robust.

Excellent quality but 1/4 inch screw version can only be used on the right hand side as the screw heads are too large to allow it to be used on the left (which is what I wanted to do). For that side, need to get the nato type handle. This wasn’t made clear in the description. On the right side, the handle doesn’t allow fingers access to shooting buttons etc. only usable for stability (plus cold shoe).

Grip is solid and feels good. Easy to connect to 2.5mm remote jack socket on my Lumix S5ii. I preferred left hand side due to me mounting the camera for vertical shooting and the usbc port on the handle is on the inside away from the hand grip and cable run. Record start/stop has a slight delay for video but you get used to it and it’s similar to my Ronin gimbal. See video….

With non electric kit Neewer and Small Rig are always my go too, this handle being one of them! Highly recommend this great quality and easy to mount grip!

This Mini Side Handle arrives in a plain brown, Neewer branded, cardboard box. Inside the box are the handle itself, hex key and mounting thumbscrews. The handle itself is well made and has a good finish throughout. Made mostly of aluminium alloy it is quite robust, whilst remaining relatively lightweight. The handle’s connector bar can be removed and flipped to the other side, meaning that the handle can be mounted on the left or right side of the camera. It can also slide up and down the handle a short distance, meaning you can alter the height the handle sits at to suit your needs. Another nice touch is that the two thumbscrews used to attach the handle to the camera cage also have some movement to slide them further apart or closer together. This allows the handle to be attached to a greater number of cages, who’s spacing between their 1/4”-20 sockets might be slightly wider/narrower than others. The screws all worked well with no issues with the threading. They can all be tightened using the hex key that is conveniently stored in the base of the handle. On the top of the handle is a cold shoe mount, and three 1/4”-20 sockets. And in the base of the handle is a further 1/4”-20 socket. These allow you to attach equipment (Such as mic, LED lights, monitors, etc).to the handle itself, either directly or through the use of extension rods, magic arms, etc. In use the handle worked reasonably well. Whilst fairly basic, the features it does have are well thought out and useful. The only issue I had was that the design of the grip is fairly utilitarian, with no real contouring to speak of. As a result, I did begin to find it got a little uncomfortable after a while, and I can see how someone with different sized or shaped hands to mine, might find it even more so. In conclusion, this is a well made, fairly basic, mini side handle, that works extremely well. The only negative is that some people might find it a little uncomfortable, but unfortunately there is no way of knowing that without trying it. ~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. I have a handle from another manufacturer which sometimes pivots on its single fixing point, this Neewer version has two which makes for a firm connection to the L bracket.

Nice. Real nice. I've been thinking of adding a second grip to my new rig but wasn't sure if I real needed it. So I grabbed this and added it to the right hand side. Wow! That feels so good. If you don't have a grip on the left, why not buy two? I'm looking foward to my next shoot as this really feels good, just as I'm testing it out. It feels lighter than my SmallRig handle on the left (my left). And the grip has a slightly different feel but there are no issues at all. As you can see from the footage it takes less than 5 minutes to set up. Thank Neewer! You did it again. 5 big *****

Très bien, je m’en suis servi pendant presque 1 an et je n’ai rien à redire, très solide et pratique, je peux la mettre à droite ou à gauche et faire mes réglages de haut en bas en fonction du rig que je souhaite.

Liebe das Teil :) an meinem cage die perfekte Ergänzung und stabilisiert die Kamerahaltung perfekt. Probleme könnte es mit deinem Fotorucksack geben. Aber das ist lösbar.
